Don’t know what I love most about this shot from my Oliver last night. The thwack of leather on Willow or the impromptu commentary from my pal stood next to me 🏏❤️🏏❤️ oh cricket how I have missed you 🏏❤️🏏
Bumped into Chris Difford back stage at Farm Fest, chatted about the wonderful Squeeze songs he wrote and when last watched him live back in 1996! He is such a lovely chap 😁😁

Incredible Rovers link to yesterdays Accrington game. CB Llewellyn who held the individual record score (188) for Accy until 18 hours ago played cricket for Rovers. Like Jurie Snyman, who made 195 yesterday, a South African LHB. Good job I don’t simply ‘stick to cricket’ eh?
What a day for Accrington!
Jurie got 195 the highest ever individual score by an Accy player, league record 6th wicket stand, highest ever total church have conceded & individual score v church, biggest ever winning margin for Accy Not enough wall left so this will have to do😁

Absolutely brutal stuff at @ChurchCricket from @AccringtonCC pro Jurie Snyman a phenomenal 195 from 106 balls with 13 sixes. Kian Farnworth 54 Sam Malloy 40. All kinds of records. More to come. It was busy.
Very true indeed, OUR Club, OUR Town ONE voice together ❤️⚽️❤️ @AmazingAccy @ASFCofficial
I wish it was like this every game.
The whole town buying into the club, murals/different things around the town that makes @ASFCofficial the heartbeat of the town.
The more successful ASFC is, the more money local businesses generate

Title tittle tattle premature but Accrington ascending Jacob’s ladder. Drama ‘neath Pendle as the scoreboard packs up but lights back on as Cherry veterans triumph blueyedboy.wordpress.com/202…
I was wondering if modern technology is extracting oil from the most difficult areas of the North Sea then what could it do for the billions of tonnes of coal under our feet. Surely it’s all burning fossil fuels 🤷♂️🤷♂️ #carboncapture
“A pit closed is a pit never reopened. So if the Government gets its way we will be throwing away a vital part of a great national asset which we need now and will need even more when North Sea oil runs out.”
Roy Hattersley, Labour deputy leader #OnThisDay 1984.
Busy day today, dropped Freda at Oliver’s cricket then headed over to Clitheroe to host the BTC charity footy match. Great to catch up with old friends and help some great local charities 😀😀
A real pleasure and a privilege to host the sportsman’s dinner for my Oliver’s football club last night. Dean Saunders was ace and Gary the comedian was fantastic! We raised a cracking amount for Oswaldtwistle St Mary’s FC 😀😀😀
And just like that the best day of the year rolls around, the first day of a new Cricket season 🏏❤️☀️ a great start with wins for both @AccringtonCC teams 👏👏
