Embarrassing leader. We just experienced historic flooding in communities across Arizona but 1st thing on her agenda is a hike then campaigning. What a joke. But you wont hear about any of it on @OutspokenKTAR because they protect her from criticism. – at Fountain Hills, AZ
Summer monsoon season in AZ is always a good show..but October transition season, especially the last couple of years, has told the summer to hold my beer. 💪 #azwx – at Fountain Hills, AZ
Amazing to see this! 🌵
Arizona will be the wettest state by volume with over 3.2 Trillion gallons of additional rainfall over the next 3-days. 🌧️
⚠️ Risk of flooding -- be careful in canyons and on the roadways in Phoenix.
Anytime we see trillions on the map for Arizona, all of the lizards and cacti get excited. 🦎
The SW is about to get hit with 2 more rounds of heavy precipitation over the weekend. #azwx #elniño – at Fountain Hills, AZ
🚨 LAKE POWELL JUST ROSE ANOTHER 1.5 FEET IN 24 HOURS. THE NUMBERS TELL A REMARKABLE STORY.
Lake Powell continues to climb as floodwaters from the San Juan River pour into the reservoir, bringing a significant short-term boost to water levels.
But here’s the perspective that really matters. 👇
📈 THE BIG PICTURE:
• +1.5 feet in the past 24 hours
• 170 feet below full pool
• 15 feet below where we stood at this time in 2025
• 47 feet below 2024 levels
Now consider this: Utah’s entire spring runoff raised Lake Powell by only about 2 feet this year. The recent surge in inflow is a powerful reminder of just how much water a major storm and flooding event can deliver to the Colorado River system.
The San Juan River is a major tributary of the Colorado River, and when it runs high, a substantial volume of that water can eventually make its way into Lake Powell. The reservoir’s response depends on how much water reaches the lake, how long elevated flows persist, and how much water is simultaneously being released downstream.
Here’s the reality: This is a significant rebound, but it does not erase the larger water deficit. Lake Powell remains roughly 170 feet below full pool, and we are still well behind the levels recorded over the past two years.
The next several days will be important as we watch how much of this floodwater makes it into the reservoir and how quickly the lake continues to rise.
Every foot matters. But the long-term water picture is about sustained inflow, snowpack, spring runoff and demand—not just a few days of rapid gains.
I’ll keep tracking the numbers and breaking down what they mean for Lake Powell, Glen Canyon Dam and the Colorado River system.

YIKES: @KrisMayes pledges to get rid of golf courses if re-elected:
"We have way, way too much grass in Arizona. We probably frankly — and I'm sure the golf industry is not going to like this when I say this — we probably have too many golf courses in Arizona right now." #AZAG
Figures. This shouldn't surprise anyone about nodebater kater. But her ads claim to "care" about serving the needs of the people of Arizona...
Replying to @GovernorHobbs
@GovernorHobbs declared a state of emergency in 2025 when Tempe experienced a microburst. She declined to declare a state of emergency for Overgaard, Arizona. @BlackmanForAZ requested a state of emergency and it has been denied.
Homes in Overgaard have been destroyed, families displaced, residents without power, trees snapped in half, 9.26 miles of tornado destruction.
The tornado was the first event, then came days of hail and torrential downpours, and more tornado warnings.
The people of Heber/Overgaard have pulled together, but they are emotionally and physically exhausted.
THEY NEED HELP!

"I seen Josh flick the ball like it's NFL Street."
"I seen he was in trouble and trying to make a play."
"Once you hear the crowd go crazy you go I don't know if it's a touchdown, I don't know if it's an interception."

This is a fun geographical oddity: Chautauqua Lake, despite being just 8 miles from the shores of Lake Erie, is not in the Lake Erie Watershed. It's in the Ohio River Watershed via the Allegheny River and empties into the Gulf of Mexico, 1,000 miles away.
Each run gets more bonkers. #fujiwhara express. Just to have this model predict 3 systems forming into one is unlikely, but still wild to see. #azwx – at Fountain Hills, AZ

Josh Allen reveals he had zero scholarship offers coming out of high school so he sent 1,000 emails with his highlights attached to every coach in the country, only two responded
“The email said something like, Hey, I’m Josh Allen. I’m 6’5”, 220 pounds. I feel like I’d be a great fit for your program. Here’s my Hudl. These are my stats… I literally just went copy, paste, copy, paste and sent it to every single coach I could find an email for.”
“I played in a small town called Firebaugh, California. I had zero offers out of high school. I had no preferred walk-ons. A couple Division III schools were trying to give me academic scholarships so I could go play there, but I didn’t want to make my parents pay for me to go somewhere.”
“So I went the junior college route. I felt like I was good enough to play, which is obviously why I kept going. I wanted to go to junior college, earn a scholarship and kind of pay my family back for everything they had done for me.”
“I also played football, basketball and baseball. I was a three-sport guy, so I didn’t spend my summers going around to every quarterback camp. I got the chance to play different sports, feel different emotions, meet different types of people and learn how to deal with all of it.”
“I think that’s something a lot of kids need to continue doing, play more sports. Every sport teaches you something that you can ultimately use later in life.”

Good news you probably haven't heard:
The Great Barrier Reef's five best years of coral cover in the 40-year record are the five most recent.
After decades of predictions of its imminent demise, the reef stubbornly refuses to die.
