if twitter understood ocd even a little bit maybe we could have actually nuanced conversations about differentiating between intrusive thoughts and unconscious bias and finding a balance between staying aware and educated and not feeding your ocd but we are not even close
does anyone else with ocd who wants a tattoo of their pets have a fear that after they get the tattoo one of those pets will die and it will be a little bit their fault

why are people misunderstanding the OCD slur thing as "guy that says slurs for fun" and not "person that rereads their text 30 times before sending it because their brain is trying to convince them that they somehow accidentally said a slur in the message and they can't see it"

my most common ocd spiral is "what if i ____" -> "why didnt that thought make me uncomfortable?" -> "oh god what if i actually want to do it because it didnt make me uncomfortable to think about" -> "i dont actually want to do that right?" -> "what if i do?" -> rinse & repeat
