Throwback to middle school when I had undiagnosed OCD and didn't understand that intrusive thoughts are the opposite of your values so I confessed that I was struggling with the sin of racism to an entire roomful of my peers. It's funny NOW.

People with OCD already think they are doing this
People with ocd should be allowed to kill 5 people everyday

I'm just barely old enough to remember what it was like before OCD awareness efforts were mainstream and it was a much harder world to live in where it was far more likely for stigma to catch up with you in daily life.
ocd awareness hitting the internet is the worst thing to happen to the ocd community so far. ocd literally feeds off things you’re passionate about and turns them against you. same people who say “im so ocd about my space” being the most ableist 🍏

It used to be that if I opened up to someone about my experiences with OCD, there was a much higher chance of them acting like I'd just admitted to something really quite shameful.

Happy Lord's day! Christ is risen from the dead. “Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.” — James 1:17

if you ignore the fact that i have hurt and killed so many people in the past with no intentions of change nor penance, I'm actually a good person. I'm literally nice. Do you want to come to my basement tomorrow. I have pizza and cheesesticks

Having panic attacks is stupid because I can be like wow everything is fine and I am not going to lose composure and then my body will be like "yes so true have you considered hyperventilation with a side of impending doom"

I'm convinced people who say the Trinity isn't in the Bible are just not reading attentively. If their argument is that the word "Trinity" isn't used, that's silly. If their argument is that the concept and teaching of the Trinity isn't there, they are not paying attention.

Guy who's a necromancer but he has obsessive compulsive disorder so he kills you and then resurrects you but then he has to kill you again and resurrect you again and then it still doesn't feel right so he does it 27 more times

in some ways "an abstraction, an approximation, one step removed from reality" is the best any language can do because reality is always too much to capture. writers know this. so do mathematicians I suspect.
i don't believe "mathematics is the language of the universe". the universe does what it does, it doesn't need a "language". math is a human attempt to describe the universe, and as such, it is an abstraction, an approximation, and at least one step removed from reality.

like yes I can say many things that are objectively true with either words or math but the things behind the words or the math will always be bigger in some way, I'm describing one leg of the elephant

I guess this is a way of saying only God is omniscient because He is the Word and He shaped the universe using the principles we barely understand even a little of with our most advanced math and philosophy

to start a book, you just gotta write! to continue the book, just keep writing! to finish the book, you gotta do a whole lotta other stuff but you'll cross that bridge when you get to it

The thing about genuinely liking poetry a lot is that you do sometimes accidentally sound like you're trying to be pretentious on purpose even when you are not at all.
