Don’t ever let them tell you that Oakland fans were the problem. For 30 years, ownership had 1 foot out the door in Oakland and consistently low payrolls. This clip is from the 2019 AL WC game, where the A’s set the attendance record for a WC game (54,005).

This isn’t an Oakland thing, this isn’t a Sacramento thing, it’s a John Fisher thing. Day two and a lot of empty seats and open grass.

The 12,119 attendance is a sellout tonight in West Sacramento.

“Sell the team” chants have broken out here at the A’s home opener in Sacramento.

It's bad enough for Sacramento that the A's refuse to temporarily adopt the city's name while they play there for three (or more) years, but to ALSO plaster obnoxious logos of ANOTHER city on the outfield wall? Talk about an abusive relationship. #Athletics

My favorite team moved to a city that is one half hour closer to my house I should be pumped. But I’m not The @Athletics belong in Oakland. I’ll follow on TV & radio I will not buy tickets If they commit to Sac i MIGHT be swayed, but yeah, the A’s belong in Oakland #FJF

Matt Chapman was on A’s teams in ‘18 & ‘19 that won 97 games. Enjoy John Fisher, Las Vegas.

The Oakland Coliseum in 1990. It had recently been renovated. The A’s owner, Walter Haas, truly cared about the fans and the community and he was committed to Oakland. They spent money on payroll, the team was great, and fans packed the house.

.@Swirvin_irvin19 will always be treasured at Baseball’s Last Dive Bar. Cheers to the @Orioles broadcast crew for the amazing coverage highlighting the rich history of the Oakland Coliseum this series. 🍻 John Fisher doesn’t deserve this franchise.
