MovefactorX coming in clutch and solving our international woes
Was just communicating with performance coach Britt Ducroz @bdducroz20, learned how one of our recent updates solved a problem, wanted to share.
Short Story: Britt heads up performance for British Olympic Diving, her home base is TX. When not in the UK with the team, she uses MFX for remote monitoring (they have a handful of units).
When the team is together, they can train off the iPads, Britt can see the results effectively in real-time from home base, that's cool. They run the iPads using our MFX-Sport app Coach/Team mode, and have been rolling like this for a while.
Here's where the solution came in, one of the athletes is currently training independently, using their iPhone with a MFX. Until very recently, we did not support the Coach/Team mode feature for the iPhone, it was only iPad. Managing the remote data was a pain, plus viewing in real-time as the training was occurring using an iPhone was not an option.
We improved that piece. Today, Britt got that athlete on the latest app update feature which now includes Team/Coach mode for iPhone as well, and the complete team was in sync!
As Britt and I were communicating, she was coaching from TX, group of divers at main facility, one diver at another location, all of the MFX performance feedback was streaming in, centralizing the process!
I am glad we got that step completed of expanding the Code/Team mode over to the iPhone. This step was overdue, and thanks to a nudge from a TX based NFL team we got it completed ahead of plan.
For me, it's the little stories like today when a user gets "amped", as Britt said, that puts a smile on my face.
Thanks Coach Ducroz for allowing me to share today's success story!

Jump testing, great talk last week with Coach Britt Ducroz @bdducroz20, she explained the VBT protocol used with the Olympic diving athletes, squat jump with MoveFactorX, to monitor performance.

So many long nights, so many early mornings. So many times we were told ‘No’. This hug was worth every second of the journey. I hope everyone who said ‘Yes’ feels the emotion and the gratitude in my eyes. We’ll dance as long as they play the music #ForTheCity

If you had 10 different S&C coaches run the same 12 week program w/ the same athletes, I guarantee the results achieved would all be different.
Coaching, teaching, communicating, “buy-in”, execution, daily “micro” decisions - loading, etc. All matter & differ based on the coach.
Caravajal dropping some hard truths!!!
S&C has become an exclusive secret society who doesn’t value those selected for inclusion because those in the secret society themselves weren’t valued when they were initially included, so they perpetuate the cycle. #everyoneseyesarewideshut

One reason why many athletes have poor routines is that they often jump from one methodology to the next without a) giving adaptation time to occur and b) reflecting on what did/didn't work. To assist, coaches must preach patience, consistency, process, and self-evaluation.

High-Performance isn’t a destination, it is a process; in which the opinions of many qualified persons are taken into consideration. A High-Performance process doesn’t rest solely on the shoulders of one person and their opinions or expertise. It’s about the strength of the team.
