Walter Koenig as Chekov on “Star Trek.” He was a breath of fresh air when he started on the second season.

Today we lost Walter Koenig. Some thoughts about a fine actor and an exceptional human being...

seeing people post about guy’s backstory like yeah when i read that for the first time and seeing how much he couldn’t help loving/wanting his family to love him even though they never would… yeah

So sad to hear about the loss of Walter Koenig. Such a nice guy and when we were on the convention circuit together a pleasure to hang out with. Here he is with Celeste Yarnall in “The Apple”, one of my favorites of the oddball episodes. Farewell.

Bill Shatner is not a friend but his work on Boston Legal cannot be disputed. He brought a great deal to his performance.

chekov was my guy on tos, it felt nice to have an eastern european character on the team who wasn’t a blonde tough stoic giant type. i remember people hated his accent but he based it off his own family and its basically how everyone i grew up with sounded like. i had it too
