“Analytics” means trying to determine how valuable each play/outcome is. But to the indignant, it means taking huge swings and throwing erratic pitches. It’s no wonder there’s such a disagreement. The argument isn’t in the same universe. Unfortunately there’s no “meeting in the middle” here.
