Being a constant critic doesn't make you a genius. Being a constant pessimist doesn't make you a realist. Being the first to detect loopholes doesn't mean you're overly intelligent. In fact, intelligence lies in the ability to distinguish when to be for and when to be against.

This is not normal. These Palestinian kids deserve everything like your kids Imagine your kid stranded in the rain. Please don't normalize this.

It is shameful that the world failed to prevent genocide, failed to shelter Gaza's civilians from Israel's bombs, and is now failing even to lift the blockade on basic supplies that would protect children and their families as rain floods the camps of displaced people across Gaza.
Heavy rain causes flooding in many parts of Gaza with nearly 70,000 tents damaged.

This is EXACTLY how those with deliberate malign intent have managed to manipulate the ignorant. Politics is broken to the point where it’s become dangerous to the wellbeing of society. It’s why over the centuries religion has been the source of so much human suffering. Politicians have long since understood that enlisting the opiate of the masses is the magic sauce to drive hate and division. Christian fundamentalists are no different from Islamic fundamentalists. Republicans have decided religious wars are their new culture wars, don’t fall for their propaganda. 🎥 TikTok - vm.tiktok.com/ZGdXBDsoR/

It’s hard to grasp the BBC’s systematic attempt to launder Israeli propaganda until you see the sheer scale of it. Here's a compilation of them doing it at 2x speed. The latest was on Newsnight on 4 November. When Bernie Sanders called Israel’s government extremist, Victoria Derbyshire answered for it: “And the Israeli government would deny that they are extremists.” As this video shows, BBC presenters repeatedly do this as guests describe Israel’s crimes: “Israel would say.” “Israel would deny.” “They would reject that.” We counted 70 of these denials and justifications in 52 aired interviews. The BBC calls this impartiality. But in not one of those 52 did a presenter raise any of these words from Israel’s own leaders: - “We are fighting human animals.” Yoav Gallant, 9 October 2023 - “It is an entire nation out there that is responsible.” Isaac Herzog, 12 October 2023 - “They will not receive a drop of water or a single battery until they leave the world.” Israel Katz, 13 October 2023 - “Remember what Amalek did to you.” Benjamin Netanyahu, 3 November 2023 - Starving two million people in Gaza until the hostages came back might be “justified and moral”. Bezalel Smotrich, 5 August 2024 On 10 October 2023, Tahani Mustafa told the BBC that Israeli forces were not distinguishing civilians from fighters. The presenter replied: “They would reject that.” Mustafa then had to bring up Gallant’s “human animals” herself. The BBC supplied the denial. The guest had to supply Israel’s own words. That is cherry-picking. The Royal Charter requires the BBC to be impartial, and the public pays for it through the licence fee. In these interviews, it handed its audience Israel’s denials and left out its leaders’ own words, during a genocide streamed live to the world. We have archived the BBC’s coverage for three years, and we are now counting all of it: 50,000 video clips and many more written excerpts. We are calling this first part: "BBC: The Would Say Files". Handing Israel its denials is only one of the ways the BBC launders Israeli propaganda, so we will count every other technique too. Over the next few weeks, we will announce each milestone as we complete the report. These are the first results, with every clip, quote and source: newscord.org/editorials/bbc-…

The image of a little girl in Gaza standing in the rain captures a stark, painful contrast: the innocence of childhood set against the harsh reality of life in Gaza. 🍉 The winter rain has transformed the scene into a tableau that blends spontaneous, childlike joy with profound human suffering. Our tattered tents—and everything we own—have been completely submerged today. 🥹💔 Please, speak about us; be our voice to the world. Please share, or leave a comment—even just a dot—to help boost this post. Thank you, from Gaza.

Meet one of the most intelligent and caring women alive today. Expert on Israel's war on childhood. Nadera Shalhoub-Kevorkian is a Palestinian scholar who has spent decades studying what happens when political violence enters the bodies, bedrooms and minds of children. Here are ten of her most devastating insights. 1. You can destroy a child's childhood without killing the child. Fear, imprisonment, humiliation and the constant possibility of death can rob a child of everything childhood should be. 2. Before you can brutalize a child, you must first make that child seem dangerous. Strip away innocence. Replace it with suspicion. Violence becomes easier to justify. 3. Call it security, and almost any cruelty can become a precaution. Even children can be treated as enemies. 4. Terror enters the mind long before a bomb strikes. The sound of footsteps, a knock on the door, a strange noise at night. Fear colonizes the imagination. 5. Occupation enters the bedroom. It determines whether families can live together, whether parents can protect their children, whether a home can remain a home. 6. Destroying a house destroys more than walls. It destroys the place where a child learned to feel safe. 7. Palestinian women face multiple forms of domination. Political violence from outside, patriarchal control from within. Neither should excuse the other. 8. Even death does not guarantee dignity. Shalhoub-Kevorkian writes about ashlaa’, the Arabic word for scattered body parts. Parents searching rubble for pieces of their children. A ring identifying a mother. Pajamas identifying a child. 9. How can a child recover from trauma when the trauma never ends? There is no meaningful after while the terror continues. 10. A little girl in Gaza begged her cat not to eat her if she was killed by a bomb. Shalhoub-Kevorkian understood something profound in this plea: even a terrified child was trying to preserve the dignity of her own body. And when parents gather the scattered remains of their children, they are doing more than preparing a burial. They are refusing to let violence have the final word about who their children were. That is perhaps the most extraordinary insight of her work: even when human beings are reduced to fragments, love still struggles to make them whole.

Also, when children write their names on their arms & legs so they can be identified if/when they’re shelled & torn to pieces by the Israeli military is a most telling and heart-wrenching attempt at being recognised & reunited with their families even in such a brutal death. The horror, fear & pain inflicted on Palestinian children by the Israeli genocide is beyond comprehension & forgiveness.
