WHITEHALL HALL OF FAME
Taped most of what turned into a lengthy ceremony. First up: Rick Bowman, who I didn’t know as an athlete because he graduated in 1972, but I did know him as one of our best basketball officials for years. Plus, his brother Beet is one of my favorites.

Awesome to see my fellow Zephyrs supporting the Loyalsock girls team tonight. I’m sitting next to my high school coach Ron Hassler. Also in pic: State Champion Kyle Kern, Beet Bowman, Joe Yoz Krempasky, brother Bob and old timer Willard Peifley. On to the Elite 8 of the State.

It is with a heavy heart that our Zephyr Family mourns the loss of Jimmy Greene, Sr. Jimmy played for Coach Tracy, coached Whitehall youth teams for years, and passionately supported his 3 boys as they each made their mark as Zephyrs. Jimmy was such a great friend to so many. ❤️

A great week of basketball for @zephyrhoops1. First, our camp was a huge success. Second, our varsity team was one of three remaining teams in the Cedar Beach Basketball Tournament playing 5 games on Sunday. #zephyrtough

Lastly, a very special commendation to our Ron Madouse Camper of the Week recipient, Lucas Bozakis! Quite an honor for a deserving camper!

We were traveling to Philly for AAU and stopped by to see John Beet Bowman at Hawk Mtn Brewery, AKA Dale Horn Brewery. Coach Dogmantis was wearing a Zephyr 55 jersey, which was my # in HS. When I told him that, he drove to his house and grabbed me this one. Tighter than in 86!

WHITEHALL SCOREBOOK
This is something that @lukekeppel5 may want to keep. The official scorebook from the legendary @beetbow21 on the night he reached 1,000 points. He has 1,001 entering the second round of states on Tuesday.

White board in locker room at Whitehall HS. Please look at top right corner…board donated by & dedicated to legendary coach Carl Case. Very appropriate. Incredible teacher & coach at Whitehall. @ZephyrAthletics @zephyrhoops1

OUCH
Thanks @ZephyrAthletics for the welcome on the video board. Softened the blow, literally, after I got popped in the face with the 🏀 on a tipped pass when I had my head down. Wish my pal @beetbow21 would’ve saved me. At least he retrieved my glasses after they went flying.

I had the pleasure of addressing the Zephyr hoop squad before their championship at Bloom U. today. Best part was meeting Joey Groller, a fellow cancer survivor! Remarkable comeback Joey!!! Team is well coached and very unselfish @ZephyrAthletics @zephyrhoops1

Very fortunate to have 1985 Zephyr Hoops alum, Dean Kriebel, speak to our team today at Tip-Off Tourney at Bloomsburg. Reminding us the importance of sharing the ball and the history of our program. #zephyr4life
