How many "Democratic" congressional candidates get the majority of their funding from republicans like @Scott_Wiener? Can't be many. Maybe Moskowitz, Gottheimer, Cuellar. Incredible this isn't more of an issue

Imagine saying that Connie Chan supporters are too focused on idpol two days after Weiner did his "first LGBT congressman to represent San Francisco" push (and that doesn't even count him trying to turn the whole election into a referendum on Gaza)
Replying to @captgouda24
The Connie Chan campaign is astonishing for how substanceless it is — the case for voting for her is that you are annoyed by Scott being competent or successful. (Or you’re Chinese and she’s “your guy”). The opposition can’t be about policy, because she doesn’t have any.

The easy road, like Slotkin, who needed $$$ to squeak this one out?
Nominating Abdul El-Sayed was such a mistake. Like, this is genuinely so terrible. Should have just taken the easy road! Could have invested so much more in other states to expand the map.

Sure, and your colleagues who say horribly islamophobic things have no ill will towards you
Replying to @christinevans
Christin, this is misinformation. The City Attorney's office has noted that "Proposition A does not impact or make any changes to term limits". Prop A (Nov) will have no impact on Prop B (June).

You're asking people to play the game on yimby turf. But you're not asking yimbys to explain their support for Peter Thiel/PayPal Mafia, Palantir/Flock/ICE, and AIPAC. The left rejects all these things, yet you allow people to call themselves "left yimby"
Replying to @TheStalwart
Is this person @evilkaratesk8er implying that to be left wing is to inherently not believe that supply and demand are things? Or that that there could not ever theoretically believe too much regulation in the production of some good?

It is not "negative polarization" to point out that yimby is financially supported by many truly awful people who want to blanket my neighborhood in Flock cameras and vote how AIPAC tells them to. If a politician like Scott Wiener has no morals, I can oppose him for that
Avoiding negative polarization should be one of your main priorities in life. But I swear, some posts (and posters) are so unbelievably vapid, you come across them and start feel sympathetic to the YIMBYs.

Hey, why did you skip over 1999, with three kids in Canada and one international student from India?
What happened between 2000 and 2025?

Scott knows that if Harvey Milk was alive, he would have hated Scott and voted for his opponent. How quickly we forget that Milk was a dirty hippie radical who got his shot through district elections that Scott and his donors would happily do away with
This campaign is for all of us. Decades of fights for equality and dignity, decades of resistance, decades of survival — San Francisco has always led the fight for LGBTQ equality. It’s time we had a seat at the table in Congress, and I will take all our voices with me to defend LGBTQ people from the vicious attacks we’re facing today.

So many christians pretending to care about Jews. This guy was defending musk's n*zi salute
That people are flabbergasted on this one, honestly people just aren't paying attention. This is exactly what animates him more than anything. And the evil nefarious nature of the Jew is what Sayed would talk about 24 hours a day if one let him.

What is with self-proclaimed democratic socialists lying about Scott Wiener? What progressive loves Flock cameras and AIPAC? What progressive is a pay-to-play passthrough for right-wing tech $? What progressive is hated by all local progressives?
Replying to @ginahinojoSTAN
His policies as a whole are perfectly in line with progressivism. People over-hate Wiener. There's much better campaigns out there that we can put our attention toward than Connie Chan's.

I find it amazing that some people genuinely think they can support Scott Wiener but wash their hands of his open support for Flock cameras and AIPAC. It's all part of the SF yimby program, and Flock/AIPAC happened way before any housing has been built

Scott Wiener's success really relies on people pretending that he isn't just a safe deposit box for AIPAC
Replying to @loomdoop
You really seem homophobic sometimes. Equality PAC has been around a long time it is not a fake PAC created to pass money.

Hammer and sickle in bio, but yimby. The revolution starts not by fighting the corrupt fascist agents of the state, but by bulldozing the homes of Connie Chan supporters
Replying to @katewillett
It's not her point but yes I also endorse demolishing San Francisco and replacing it with a much cooler east coast city.

It's fitting that Sarah McBride, the first trans congressperson, is a corporatist AIPAC shill, and the first gay congressperson from San Francisco would be too
San Francisco has always led the fight for the LGBTQ equality. Let’s make history again.

This is what @Scott_Wiener and the billionaire yimby funders gave San Francisco: nearly 500 Flock cameras, with more to come. Not surprisingly, there are virtually zero in Scott's old supervisor district (nimby for big donors!)

I do not want Flock cameras in my neighborhood or my city. To Scott Wiener's supporters, that makes me a "nimby" (and based on their anti-Connie Chan talking points, a "conservative" as well)

As always, there are two private golf courses that could house 70000 people within a mile of a BART station and yimbys say if the wealthy golfers don't want to develop, we are sol. That's a lack of political will
