Traditionis custodes had its five year anniversary, and I wanted to think long and hard before I wrote about it.
Nah, I played Palworld for 2 weeks nonstop, and now I'm gonna give you my thoughts in one take.

It's weird that we all set pre-election expectations then grade the parties on it
We could just eliminate this step in mid-Nov and assess how well parties did compared to fundamentals, what tactics worked, etc
Like why do takes in mid-Oct with partial info figure into final assessments
And all those companies are currently beneath those alleged old greats.
Its like the Rockies saying the Brewers are past their peak.
A reminder when you have an event where information is incomplete and speculation occurs.
Someone being wrong does not necessarily mean someone was a liar. Anyone who says that should be clocked as just as untrustworthy a narrator as the person who was wrong.
Yhotei made Sucker Punch money (because of a cheap budget, let this be a lesson to game companies!) but they were no doubt expecting the successor to Tsushima to make far more than it did. When it didn't (a modest hit instead of a smash hit) suddenly the books looked fuzzy.

To help clarify some matters concerning the organisation of this year's Ad Petri Sedem ('Summorum Pontificum') pilgrimage, Una Voce has a press release. Text here, link at the end. 1/
Something JD can no doubt understand, but in 13 years of marriage, my wife and I have been on one getaway, for one night. We have had maybe one date night a year, for 3-4 hours only.
Sayed running an ad saying the dirty jew conspired to raise your grocery prices so they can murder babies, the dog whistle to not even hiding pipeline accelerated very quickly there.
I do find it funny that by Anthropics own admission, they did not participate in the ethical hacking program properly, aka committed felonies against Anthropic.
But committing felonies is how Anthropic does its "cybersecurity research" so they can't say anything lol
EXCLUSIVE: In less than 12 hours, a group of ex-DOGE cyber researchers were able to penetrate Anthropic’s systems using AI agents — including Slack channels where the most sensitive models are discussed.
This is just weeks after
Anthropic whistleblower Joseph Coxon charged the company w/launching “a hubristic gamble” from a “private company’s Slack.”

Today, at the meeting of the organizers of the Summorum Pontificum Pilgrimage, Christian Marquant commented on the controversy stirred up on social media by people who wish to sow confusion:
1. The request to use the altar of the Chair in St. Peter’s Basilica was made on the day of Bishop Athanasius Schneider’s audience with Pope Leo at the Vatican, on 18 December 2025, ten months and one week before the Pilgrimage.
2. On 7 August, eight months after the request, a negative response arrived from the Secretariat of State of the Holy See. No alternative date was suggested for the Mass, contrary to what's claimed by those people hungry for the limelight.
3. On 8 September, Father Claude Barthe, chaplain of the Pilgrimage, sent a request to the Secretariat of State asking whether the Pilgrimage might enter the Basilica to pray at the tomb of St. Peter, as had happened in the fourteen previous years, even when no Mass was celebrated there: “May we nevertheless, on the coming 24 October, enter the Basilica in procession, pray for the Pope at the Confession, and adore the Blessed Sacrament at the Altar of the Chair? The Basilica’s sacristy informs us that this would be possible at 1 p.m., should Your Excellency grant us the necessary permission.”
4. On 30 September, the response was sent by post, delivered a few days later to the Apostolic Nunciature in Paris, and only reached Father Barthe on 12 October, less than two weeks before the Pilgrimage. The response was negative. The pilgrims would not even be allowed to enter the Basilica to pray.
5. This was not disclosed immediately at that time because the organizers still tried to obtain permission for the group to enter the Basilica, given the importance of that gesture and the scandal it would represent for the pilgrims, and for Catholics in general, to be denied entry in the context of a pilgrimage. Since these efforts were unsuccessful, the announcement was made one day before the procession that led the pilgrims to St. Peter’s Square.
6. Christian Marquant lamented the confusion stirred up by people who have no connection whatsoever with this initiative of Catholic faithful, and he emphasized that the Summorum Pontificum Pilgrimage has at its heart love for the Pope and for the Catholic Church.
Long live Christ the King! Viva Cristo-Rei!
Most Europoor crap imaginable that I 100% believe. This 100% looks like a mix of poor organization, bureaucratic laziness and nobody with a realization how sensitive this could be.
And of course people on all sides looking to farm the ineptness for clout.
NEW: As reported earlier today, the Vatican Secretariat of State’s letter to Summorum Pontificum pilgrimage organizers, denying their request to enter St. Peter's Basilica to pray for the Holy Father and adore the Most Blessed Sacrament at the Altar of the Chair, was dated Sept. 30.
However, sources indicate the letter took roughly 10-12 days to arrive by post, and so organizers did not receive it until closer to mid-October.
Maybe/maybe not correlated, but the last week has certainly reminded people of the need to do sufficient DR prepping.
This user posted - “We had to patch a major energy security flaw on 3 grids in the US this week alone. “
2 days later the Pentagon said it’s prepping “every major US military base to survive 90 days without outside support “ — no civilian power grid no global supply chain.
I’m not saying they’re correlated, but the timing is definitely odd
I have a feeling we will not see a quick and clean concession tonight in Brazil.
Median trad "dissent": nations should be Catholic, protecting pedophile bishops is a scandal and Pius XII was right to support Nuremberg
Median NO dissent: two men having sex is fine, my body my choice and birth control is a building block of society.
Slightly different!
The problem with arguing that Latin Mass communities have pathologies is that every single one of those pathologies exists in Novus Ordo communities too, and is often worse. It's not as if your average parishioner at a NO parish, even a regular massgoer, is a model of obedience to the mind of the Roman Pontiff in all things, even prudential. If it's not on sexual morality, it's on immigration, or whatever.
How to detect a Google scholar/GPT Genius:
When you ask for evidence on a point and someone lists 8 names, no titles, and no mention of what is being argued
I think the letter/stuff yesterday shows a lot of the critics of trads wrong (they didn't knowingly request something against a conflict) but also shows a bit of the organizing side lacking.
Lacking of transparency with poor organizing breeds mistrust and emotions
LATEST: As the Vatican Secretariat of State did not specify in their Sept. 30 letter what precise request was being denied, some have asked what pilgrimage organizers had requested in their letter of Sept. 8.
I had included the content of their request in my article earlier today, but have now further specified it, writing:
In his letter of 8 September, Abbé Barthe had acknowledged the Secretariat of State’s refusal to authorize a Mass in the usus antiquior, the older form of the Roman Rite, in St. Peter’s Basilica this year. He then asked:
“May we nevertheless, this coming 24 October, enter the Basilica in procession, pray for the Pope at the Confession, and adore the Blessed Sacrament at the Altar of the Chair? The Basilica’s sacristy indicates to us that this would be possible at 1 p.m., should you grant us permission.”

On the confusion about what the Rome Pilgrimage was and was not expecting, I can make a preliminary clarification (I intend to write at greater length before long): 1/5 @latinmassuk @LMSChairman @OnePeterFive @CatholicHerald @RealAdVaticanum @dianemontagna
