Going above and beyond for a vulnerable customer 💙
Recently, Bus Station Controller Winsome was working at Harrow Bus Station when an elderly customer approached her window and asked to buy a ticket to Athens, Greece.
Winsome quickly realised that the customer was upset and confused. After taking the time to sit and talk with her, she discovered that she couldn’t remember her postcode.
Rather than simply directing her elsewhere, Winsome went the extra mile. She accompanied the customer on a 30-minute walk home, supported her when she nearly fell, and stayed with her until she knew she was safely home.
When they arrived, the customer’s daughter spoke through the doorbell camera to thank Winsome for bringing her home safely.
The following day, Winsome arrived at work to find a handwritten card and flowers from the customer’s family. She learned that the lady had dementia, and her daughter was incredibly grateful for the kindness and care Winsome had shown.
Thank you, Winsome, for going above and beyond to support a vulnerable customer and for showing such compassion and kindness.

A baby that was stabbed 15 times had only been born eailer that day when she was stabbed to death an inquest heard yesterday.
Maria Skopova suffered 33 injuries to her body after being stabbed 15 times in outhouse in Sheffield.
The baby's mother Andrea Skopova, 20, Peter Horvath, 19, Peter Horvath, 38, and Nina Horvathova, 37, appeared at Sheffield Crown Court last month charged with murder.
Is the bus ok?
Dashcam footage sent in from Tottenham High Road shows a cyclist riding head-on into an oncoming bus.
The rider was knocked off their bike but was seen sitting up in the road afterwards. We don’t know how badly they were hurt.
If you ride on busy bus routes, keep to your lane, stay visible, and give buses as much space as you can.

A Scottish mum jail for getting a 14 year old to do her drug running in fife.
Elle Taylor, 28 recruited a teenage boy to do drug runs up to 20 times a day.
Taylor pocketed £213,163.07 in third-party bank transfers and moved £147,828.47 through bank accounts and cash withdrawals between September 2019 and September 2025.
Taylor admitted to charges relating to proceeds of crime, cocaine supply and wilfully exposing a child in a manner likely to cause unnecessary suffering.
She was jailed for 3 years.
