They'll keep Carrick until the next International break and then the next guy will take over. They're obviously happy to just take defeats every game.
Huge game today. Implications for a bad result and performance can't be overstated. I hope we somehow get a response, but I'm very doubtful. I think we lose. And if we do, the ownership deserve all the criticism they'll receive.
There's a part of me that understands them backing Carrick. Every managerial decision they've made in 2.5 years has been wrong, and the dressing room is horrible. So I get the rationale behind backing a manager over the players. But Carrick isn't the one to do it with.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Michael Carrick on dressing room morale:
"My responsibility is to the players. Outside is not for me to focus on. I know we can affect. I know what help the group need, guidance at certain times and dealing with things, that's part of my direct role.
Of course we've spoken. We have meetings. The boys are hungry. We're hurting because we haven't won enough football games. But there is an intensity, an edge, a hunger to do better."
They don't have to do anything. I agree with his opinion, but they will not give a flying fuck what he says.
