I just can’t believe a roomful of journalists & producers collectively decided this was an appropriate booking. I would honestly love to understand the logic behind inviting a former spokesman to a genocidal dictator as a source of truth…Talk us through it @BBCNewsnight.

In 1860, Abraham Lincoln commissioned 100,000 presidential election campaign pamphlets printed entirely in Welsh (yn Gymraeg)! He targeted key immigrant voter pockets across Pennsylvania, New York, and Ohio to secure the Union vote.

“It worked, boom.”
That’s Nigel Farage celebrating a Reform UK plot to break election law - by having a US company secretly pay for three influential political polls that benefitted the party.
Earlier in the investigation, Reform’s Head of Policy James Orr and senior advisor Dan Jukes arranged for a Verbatim reporter to pay for the polls through a US company. Orr and Jukes believed the firm was run by the reporter’s American father.
Mr Farage was filmed by undercover reporters from @Verbatim_Media as part of a year-long investigation that Channel 4 News has thoroughly checked and verified.
This meeting took place in his Clacton constituency in July - when Mr Farage was fighting a by-election he called after separate allegations about his finances.

The facts around @Plaid_Cymru ALN consequential funding highlights how little understanding there is amongst politicians and organisations alike @CymruNAHT of how the Barnett Formula works!
SEND/ALN pupils in 🏴 20.8%
SEND/ALN pupils in 🏴 9.5%
Based on the figures Wales ALN does not require additional funding any more than other area. The NHS, mainstream education, and other areas could all benefit greatly from more funding.
Wales however gets the extra money because the total budgetary spend in England has increased.
It does not matter what the trigger issue is for additional spending in England. Due to an overall budgetary increase for England the money (worked out by % of population) must be transferred to devolved administrations.
The consequential triggered by SEND/ALN in England does not mean it is ALN money in Wales. It is money that Wales receives so that there is no disparity between England's overall budget and that of the devolved nations.
This is why no consequential money is ring fenced and allows @Plaid_Cymru the flexibility to do as they choose with the extra funding.
