Thoughts on the morning drive……another pedophile is spending the rest of his life in jail! This past week, my office, the Northern District of Alabama, was able to press for a major sentencing of an admitted child porn producer and distributor. Jason Seay, of Madison, Alabama, pled guilty to the charges and was just sentenced to 140 years in prison. He won’t be able to harm our children any more. When the FBI raided Seay’s home in Madison they seized more than 20 electronic devices containing over half a million child porn files. To make it even more disturbing some of those images were made by Seay himself. Children were sexually exploited by this deviant. But no more….he will spend the rest of his life behind bars and away from decent society. That sentence cannot undo the harm that he inflicted, but it does send a clear message that we will not look the other way. We will do all that it takes to get sick criminals like this off our streets and away from our kids. And I would ask you all, please, if you suspect the possible sexual exploitation of a child don’t stay silent.
