It will land on a @BlueOrigin Blue Moon MK1, SN5. This is/was an Earth-bound twin of Curiosity, the Mars rover, used to test things on the ground before sending commands to the red planet. Minicast will allow lunar infrastructure to communicate with each other. The contractors for this are: - @HB_Robotics - @Redwire - @YankTech For example, rovers could communicate with solar towers to direct themselves for re-charging. 📷 @NASA

Ad lunam Impulse! 🚀 We are proud to announce that @NASA has awarded Impulse two missions as part of its Moon Base program, an ambitious effort to establish humanity’s first permanent lunar outpost. For decades, the Moon has been a place we’ve visited. Now, Impulse is delivering the transportation to make it a place we can call home. Read more: impulsespace.com/updates/imp…

UK military satellite Titania has successfully launched into orbit. Alongside Project Inaros, we can see threats sooner, making the UK safer. Titania & Inaros are British-built and designed, meaning more highly skilled jobs, a stronger industrial base and a more secure UK.

It is so tempting to make a 500 ton thrust Raptor 4 in place of the 250 ton Raptor 3 for the outer ring of the Starship booster

One of the most elegant engineering decisions behind Starship is autogenous pressurization. Instead of carrying a separate pressurizing gas, Starship uses its own propellants to maintain tank pressure. Less complexity. Less dead weight. More capability. Sometimes the smartest engineering is eliminating what you never needed.

✅ Sound check: complete. Launch is one of the most punishing environments a spacecraft will ever face. To make sure Blue Ring is ready, our team put the fully integrated vehicle through acoustic testing, blasting it with over 140 decibels of sound for two straight minutes. Blue Ring passed, proving it can survive and operate through the harshest acoustic conditions of launch.

SpaceX will attempt to catch both the Super Heavy booster and Starship on the upcoming flight. If both are successful, it will mark the first time that all parts of an orbital rocket return to Earth intact. This is the critical breakthrough needed to make life multiplanetary.

See you soon, Mars. Our twin spacecraft – Blue & Gold – are about to execute a trans-Mars Injection maneuver to propel themselves to Mars. Since launch 12 months ago, the spacecraft we designed and built for @NASA and @ucbssl for the @escapade_mars mission, have been in space making small course corrections. Now that Earth and Mars are aligned, each spacecraft will ignite their engines for about 9 minutes each, to begin their journey to the Red Planet to study its atmosphere. Blue’s engine burn takes place: Saturday 7th November Gold’s engine burn takes place: Monday 9th November Learn more about this epic scientific mission here: rocketlabcorp.com/missions/e…

We're excited to announce that Stoke has been granted Right of Entry (RoE) from Space Launch Delta 45 (SLD 45) to the property just north of our existing SLC-14 launch site. This expansion will enable the construction of a second launch site to support high-cadence launch and re-entry operations for our Nova  launch vehicle. The RoE is the first step to opening more of the Eastern Range to fully and rapidly reusable launch, and we're grateful to SLD 45 for their support.
