Here’s an indie rap playlist I made a while back. Haven’t added much lately but it’s got some bangers in it. open.spotify.com/playlist/7f…

10/22/1991 35th Anniversary of the debut album by Black Sheep. I put this in the same category as albums like Breaking Atoms,Mecca,Low End Theory & Stunts,Blunts & HipHop for the raps and the beats that broke through that reinforced sampling post Grand Music v Biz Markie.

"The man" doesn't want you to talk about the fact that Aldi is running the crisp game right now. But I'll talk about it. I'll never be silenced by Big Crisp.

Why can’t you sell painkillers in the jungle?
Cal@SimpGanassiOct 16
Sorry to be boring but painkillers aren’t sold in small, individually foiled boxes in Europe because nobody takes them, it’s to prevent suicides and overdoses. After this became law in Britain in 1998, paracetamol-related deaths fell by 43%!

This isn’t my favourite album but it’s easily the best Rawkus LP. I don’t think of Rawkus as an album-selling record label. Always been about the 12”s, for me.

I can listen to certain songs from the era in which they were made and I’m instantly transported to that time. 1996 in particular
