How in the world is there more debate on convention locations than an amendment to change our governing documents?

If I heard correctly, the Sanchez amendment is even worse than the Law amendment in that it includes language, not just about titles, but functions. Do we really want the CC trying to interpret job descriptions and responsibilities? #SBC25 1/2
Seems to me there are too many pastors who want to be in power and if they aren’t in power they will do anything they can, even using worldly means, to gain power. This is why there is needless, endless fighting in SBC. #SBC25
I’m afraid the SBC I was raised to love and revere is headed on a course which will destroy it. It’s not liberalism that’s the problem as it was years ago. The litmus test is now how conservative are you? And if you aren’t really far right then not enough. #SBC25

I’ve been to most all SBC meetings since ‘94. When voting on BF&M2000 we had 60-80 lead female pastors/co-pastors. Now we have zero & some see it as more of a problem than 25 years ago! Beware when you hear talk of “liberal drift” for it may be a Trojan Horse to get power. #SBC25

Fundamentalist Christians are putting the Ten Commandments in Louisiana public schools.
Now, their kids will know God is deeply offended by stealing, coveting thy neighbor’s wife, coveting thy neighbor’s goods, adultery & bearing false witness.
And this November, those kids will watch their parents vote for Donald Trump.

There’s no better example of Christlike humility and fairness than @bartbarber. We didn’t deserve his leadership, but I’m sure glad the Lord allowed us to have it for two years.
In 30 years of #sbc ministry @bartbarber has been our finest President. His early apology and humble response to a possible censure vote today is but one evidence that he possesses the right character. Love you brother.
