1996 LSU vs Auburn
The Barn Burner
A bbq grill left too close to the overhang of the old wooden Auburn Sports Arena—known as “The Barn”—sparked a fire that engulfed the building.
TV images were surreal. From the camera angle, the flames appeared to be just feet behind the fans

An important question is not merely “What are you doing in politics?” but also “What is politics doing in you?”
Fun fact: the last time Auburn took down #1 on the road, I was there. 1994 in The Swamp. A woman in jorts, smoking a cig 🚬made fun of my War Eagle Girl uniform in the ladies’ room. Good times… #NixtoSanders #WarEagle

This gem of a stat:
We are 36-2 all time as the AP No. 1 team in the regular season.
The two teams to beat us:
Unranked Auburn in 1942
Unranked Auburn today

Jon’s correct in that his team provided my team some great pregame hype video footage today. You guys are the best, Jon. Thanks for your contribution.

I have proudly advocated for Fort Rucker to be named @USArmy’s UAS Center of Excellence for years. Today’s announcement makes clear that Fort Rucker, which has long been the beating heart of Army Aviation, will lead the Army into the next era of warfare.
I’m grateful to @POTUS, @SecWar, @SecArmy, and General LaNeve for continuing to recognize how valuable Alabama is to our nation’s defense and how much we have to offer. I look forward to continuing to work alongside them to support Fort Rucker’s mission.

Alabamians: You can download the FEMA app to receive real-time alerts from @NWS, locate shelters and Disaster Recovery Centers, and access more information to help you prepare for Hurricane Isaias’ upcoming landfall.
We are monitoring Hurricane Isaias and pre-staging personnel and resources to support state and local partners. @FEMARegion4 and FEMA headquarters have activated Response Coordination Centers and stand ready to support state and local needs ahead of impacts.

Three years ago today, Hamas terrorists tortured, mutilated, and murdered 1,200 innocent civilians in Israel.
Among those slain were men, women, and children — including dozens of Americans.
We will never forget this act of barbarism against an ally and recommit ourselves to the defense of civilization.
