This is the first time logging into "X". My "Twitter" publicity game is dwindling into nothing. But, I do want to say I am proud that we contributed to the latest work from Brittany Davis in the Maher lab showing synaptic dysfunction after TCF4 loss.
So thrilled to share this incredible work from @LabMaher at @LieberInstitute. Thank you @bradymaherPhD and team!

Our paper is out! We found that a transcription factor #TCF4 is a part of human neural #development, and it regulates (RIMBP2) which is disrupted in #autism spectrum disorders (#ASD)! It's free access this month!

Really please to share our @LabMaher recent preprint, where we use a 2D differentiation protocol developed by @UPenn_SongMing to achieve a transcriptional profile approximating dorsolateral prefrontal cortex in human late fetal-postnatal stages thanks to help from @andrewjaffe.
especially given @mikejg84 recent work pinpointing synaptic homeostasis as pathway of transcriptional dysregulation in ASD. Check it out here: biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…

🧠@leuvenbrainins1 scientists including Dr. @VanderhaeghenP2 find that CROCCP2, a hominid-specific gene duplicate, acts as a human-specific modifier of cilia dynamics and mTOR signaling to promote the expansion of #cortical progenitors.
