we’re coming from a 5-1 & 0-2 win against bournemouth & everton respectively. but look at the harsh smoke alonso, palmer & the players are getting just after one loss all in the name of ‘criticism’ lol what i’m seeing on my tl is not criticism

Fans never treat players like human beings🙄 You want them to be emotionless zombies Fans are pissed at the result Colwill is pissed at the result No problem But no, now you want to paint a player as a bad guy for reacting to verbal abuse the way any rational human being would
Really hate this stuff from players, Caicedo did similar to a fan in the MHL after the second goal, sort of tutting at him and shaking his lead like 'you what?', you just lost to Spurs for the second time at home since 1993, that's what. I expected more in terms of standards from Alonso after the game too in his interviews, concerning. Colwill and co should look at themselves in the mirror. Don't have a go at fans who paid their hard earned money to be served up that yesterday.

I understood the Direct, Counter Attack style we played early season We had no midfielders, we had to make due👍 But with Moi and Hendo back, Barco fit, and Lavia seemingly staying fit, theres no reason we should still be playing grenade football going forward Xabi must change
Chelsea don’t need 3 CB profiles when Marmoush is the striker. Add Barco in midfield. #CFC

"Elite creator like Odegaard or-"
I’ll say it again, there’s a reason Pep sold Palmer when he was at City. His profile is redundant in modern football, especially for coaches who prioritise work rate from their attackers out of possession. Palmer is neither an elite creator like Ødegaard or Cherki, nor is he strong enough to be a touchline winger. He’s basically a half-space AM, which makes him a limited AM and winger who is physically inferior and poor out of possession. He’ll get some odd goal contributions, but his presence in the team is a net negative because of how poor he is out of possession. Chelsea should be looking to phase him out over the next few years if they genuinely want to move to the next level.

Not calling out Daily specifically BUT Do you remember when *they* were all mad at our possession approach under Maresca and posting our Results x Possession stats like "we win more when we have less possession so we should just give the ball away" Pepperidge Farm remembers
I’ve had time to think and question whether it was a reactionary take or not but I don’t think it is. Chelsea shouldn’t ever be content with having 32% possession at home, let alone to a side who only won their first game on Monday.

This fanbase makes me sick A loss can never just be a loss A bad game can never just be a bad game People must always draw foregone conclusions for agendas "I told you Rogers is a fraud! I told you Palmer isnt good! I tol-" STOP This "I TOLD MAN" culture is a fucking plague

1. Why aren't Penalties counted? 2. Why aren't Assists counted? 3. Why is Palmer held to the standards of star strikers instead of star wingers/CAMs? 4. Regardless of all this, leaving out Cup Final stats for Club/Country in your criteria just makes this bad faith to begin with
Cole Palmer in PL big 6 matches since joining Chelsea in 2023. United 6x - 2 NPG. Arsenal 5x - 0 NPG Liverpool 3x - 0 NPG Man City 6x - 0 NPG Tottenham 5x - 0 NPG (1 Red Card) 2 Non Penalty Goal in 25 (TWENTY FIVE) matches since 23/24. THE MOST PROTECTED FOOTBALLER IN THE PL

First loss in 8 years fuck me can you people relax💀💀 We don't have to go to extremes after every bad result
Unfortunately, nobody representing Chelsea on the pitch, in the technical area, or in the boardroom, seems to understand the significance of this fixture.

Martinez into Suzuki as well. In one window they completely smashed the "there's no value in the market" and the "PL proven only" nonsense
Villa turned Rogers Watkins Tielemans into Jackson Mbaye Manzambi Joao Gomes In an era of inflated prices and stupid squad building, this is just an incredible rebuild man

Him being put in the same category of "chaos creators" as Nunez and Werner is the most racist thing I've ever seen considering he was 10x their superior technically.
For years we’ve been screaming about Jackson. Missed chances and funny TikToks could never erase the value of a guy who gets so many shots away quickly, constantly hits the right areas and creates for himself and others ex nihilo. Starts and finishes the move like he always does.

We have to speak realistically tho, not ideally Typically out of your XI, there will be maybe 5/6 players where there is healthy competiton for places and players have to fight for their spot The other 5/6 players are undisputed starters that have deputies (Read more below💀)

Depth? No. Competition for places, yes. I hate the coomcept of franchise players. Get top level players to battle it out for these positions

Wonder why Palmer gets held to striker standards even when he’s putting on elite AM displays every game. There isn’t a single AM in football this season who’s been better in general play than him
Lowest of keys, need Palmer to properly show up tomorrow. Has been good recently don’t get me wrong but feel like he needs a goal

Midtable Frankfurt beat Barca to win Europa? No problem Midtable Villareal win Europa, and then knock out Bayern a year later to reach UCL Semis? No problem Como rise from Serie B to beat Man U?? Beautiful But now Bournemouth beating Milan is unacceptable??😂😂 Alright man
I will get booed for this but midtable PL clubs cleaning up in Europa/Conference League is not good for the game

I'm all for quality depth, I'm still mad we sold Jackson, was perfect to cover L10/ST💀💔 But me personally, I see our Palmer depth in Estevao, so I dont think we need to recruit there Should all our depth be raw 19 year olds? No But 2 or 3 like Josh, Estevao is just fine IMO

Tbf, we could deffo convince Paz. If you check my page I've been clamouring for Paz since his first season at Como. All it takes is a coherent proposal really. We HAVE to have competition esp for UCL. Palmer is way too comfortable for someone who's nonexistent vs low blocks.

Again with this talk of 'ambition' and 'we are not Brighton' Ok and?? As I said already...NO ONE said dont sign good depth players, I literally even already gave you examples You don't rate Paz as highly as most, cool, end of Spare me the 'standards' talk please🙄
You shouldn't have them in your head as "Depth" players when you sign them it's about being ambitious they are depth AND competition. You need the players on the bench to be able to seamlessly replace the starters when needed. Nico paz is not Messi and we're not Brighton.

Its not about being 'better than Ferran' really Its about how good you are relative to others in your position The gap between Ferran and Ousmane is bigger than the gap between Paz and every other 10 in the Europe Don't shrink this to a 'Paz v Ferran' debate

I think everyone is GENUINELY disrespecting Nico Paz This is NOT a depth player, unless maybe you are a Treble Winning team at the least Ferran Ndiaye Saibari Godts Karl Lookman Lee Kang-In THESE are what you call depth players Not Nico Paz, one of the best 10s in the world😭
Comparing Ferran with Paz😭🤦🏾‍♂️ The gap in quality between Ferran and Ousmane is gargantuan, this isnt the case for Palmer, Paz The equivalent of signing Paz would be like Barca signing Olise as 'depth' for Yamal💀💀 Does that sound feasible in any reality??
