This is a REAL CRIME ... I detest drones which cause noise; wildlife issues and invasion of privacy concerns. They should only be used by license professionals in filming OR emergency situations! RT @latimes #MariaFire #drones #dronessuck latimes.com/california/story…

Two firefighting helicopters had to be grounded multiple times to avoid a drone whose pilot was apparently trying to snap photos of the flames.

The #MariaFire is the latest in #California's busy 2019 fire season. Mandatory evacuations for more than 7,500 people in the LA area are in place after the wildfire began late Thursday before quickly spreading to cover more than 8,000 acres overnight. keranews.org/post/new-califo…

CA needs a better rapid initial attack strategy to kill new fires when they're small. While big tankers fight the #easyfire in Simi Valley, agile single engine air tankers could keep new starts at bay in #HillsideFire and #46Fire. Why isn't #CALfire using them? #CAWildfires

This was last night (well, very early this morning) --- but glad to see @KTLA drawing attention to the issue. Rule 1: DO NOT fly drones near active fires. Rule 2: SEE RULE 1 If you are ignoring these rules, this meme is for you... #OCFires #MariaFire evacuations

So cool to watch this heavy lift “Skycrane” helicopter in action as it sucks up water and douses the flames. These things can hold around 2,650 gallons and can fill up with its draft hose in less than a minute! #EasyFire – at Seattle, WA
