aggressive reminder that it's totally fine if you go to a concert and don't know the words to all the songs. it's fine if you found a band through tik tok. it's fine if you only know the popular songs. this weird elitism is preventing people from getting into music.

This is unacceptable @elonmusk - people are being put in danger because they can’t access our critical severe weather information. You are going to get people killed.
My area is under a tornado warning, and thanks to @elonmusk I can’t see what @IWeatherON is saying about the track

1) Thread for today: I am not going to opine on the Supreme Court's ruling except to tell a story about a late and valued friend. The story will suffice for the sum of my thoughts about affirmative action. I was working at the student newspaper at the University of Maryland...

Hey @Uber, I'd love to have a word about the way you keep reducing your driver's pay percentages. Less than 50%?! Really?! This poor guy spent over an hour driving me to the airport at 4a and stood to make $20 off of the trip you charged me $60 for. And it's not just him. EVERY driver I've spoken to in the recent past has confirmed this downward trend in wages. What are you doing to earn 50% of their pay? Running an app that tells them where to go? And giving more money to new drivers as an incentive while long-term employees fight and struggle to make less and less? Despicable. Try harder.

I'm sorry if you've heard me tell this story before. Many of you will have seen me tweet it previously. But I just love it for what it is, and I make no apologies for that. In primary school, when I was about 7, I met this young boy. A new kid in school. I'll call him Ben.

Seriously, just because it's made for kids does that mean prodigy is not amazing Star Trek. This story line could so easily be in any of the other series and it would fit just fine #SaveStarTrekProdigy

I'm not advocating for boycotts or other actions, because there are other Trek shows that deserve attention and support. ST: Prodigy was always an underdog. We heard it over and over -- what Star Trek fan will watch a show for kids? And what kid will watch Star Trek? 13/

The news that #StarTrekProdigy was cancelled and will soon be removed from streaming services is a travesty. It was such a gorgeous and smartly written show. It didn’t just introduce my kids to @StarTrek, but it also planted a seed of love for #science and #astronomy. 1/2

The Supreme Court ruled that innocent people can be kept in prison and it was in the news cycle for about 3 seconds.

This was shared on the Autism Reddit. A late diagnosed autistic parent in the UK, is now under investigation by Social Services to determine their "capabilities to be parents" because of their new diagnosis. Link to the post. reddit.com/r/autism/comments…

This short thread shares two peer reviewed articles on what actually happens when trans kids come out at school in the UK. Neither article has had any press coverage in a media that is both obsessed with, & ignorant about trans children in UK schools. Pls read and share 1/6

Instead of bringing scientists on podcasts, how about we force podcasters to prove they can do basic science? Do you know what “double-blind” means, my dude? Can you define p-value, bro? Without googling it, give me the basics of polymerization. Can’t do it? You lose.

Her tweet has 118 million views. Why? Because she stole someone else's work. Mine. "Thou shalt not steal," does not apply to self-identifying christians. 118 million views. With something she stole.
