Seine Highway has once again delivered a batch of Teslas๐Ÿš™ in Trondheim๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ด (Around 4-500 according to the pilot) Usually this happens in the last month of the quarter, so seeing the ship๐Ÿšข here this early means the demand must be very high in Norway right now! ๐Ÿ”ฅ @elonmusk

I don't want to live without a Tesla anymore. ๐Ÿ”Š๐Ÿ”Š๐Ÿ”Š Not a flex โ€” just the honest version after more than 200K kilometers on my Model Y. They say electric cars are a phase. Mine's been a phase for five years and I'm not over it. Some people are looking for an exit. I'm looking for a new Model Y with FSD. The Y Long Range 2021 stays. I'm just expanding my fleet. So my Cosmic truth of the year: I don't want to live without Tesla cars ๐Ÿš™ โค๏ธ anymore ๐Ÿคฉ Thank you @elonmusk

200K km in five years is serious mileage. How's the range holding up at this point compared to when it was new?

What this means for FSD approval in Norway: ๐Ÿงต
Looks like Norway๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ด will follow an EU approval. This was answered today by the secretary of transport: ยซI am positive toward new vehicle technology, as it has the potential to address many of our mobility needs and improve road safety. It is essential that any technology introduced on Norwegian roads ensures road safety. There is continuous development of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) designed to support the driver and enhance safety; some of these systems have already become mandatory for the type-approval of new vehicles. When using advanced driver-assistance systems, the driver remains fully responsible for the operation of the vehicle under the Road Traffic Act. Some vehicle manufacturers have introduced advanced systems that allow the driver to keep their hands off the steering wheel for extended periods. Consequently, the system may create the impression that the vehicle is self-driving, even though the driver remains entirely responsible for the driving task. This creates an increased risk in situations where the system expects the driver to take control. Such systems do not meet the requirements set out in international regulations. One example is Teslaโ€™s systemโ€”which has been renamed from "Full Self-Driving (Supervised)" to "Tesla Assisted Driving." Dutch authorities have applied for EU type-approval for the system, utilizing an exemption process provided for under EU regulations. If the EU approves the system, Norway will align with this decision in accordance with our obligations under the EEA Agreement. Some EU member states have already accepted the deviations from international regulations at a national level, while others have raised concerns regarding whether road safety is adequately ensured. These exceptions relate to requirements concerning driving without hands on the steering wheel on motorways, as well as compliance with speed limitsโ€”provisions that Norway has worked hard to include in the regulatory framework. On behalf of Norway, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration (Statens vegvesen) raised concerns during a meeting of the vehicle committee on June 30. The objective was to gauge the views of other countries regarding issues such as adherence to speed limits, inadequate or misleading driver information, and significant discrepancies between marketing materials and the user manual. Since this meeting, it has been established that the system is capable of exceeding speed limits. It remains unclear how other member states will address this as the EU process continues. Furthermore, Tesla has released some of the underlying documentation; the marketing regarding the system's safety potential has been somewhat tempered, and the potentially misleading name "Full Self-Driving (Supervised)" has been changed. On Teslaโ€™s Norwegian website, the system is now referred to as "Tesla Assisted Driving" (*Tesla Assistert Kjรธring*). The Norwegian Public Roads Administration notes that the driver-assistance system appears to handle standard traffic situations well. However, it remains uncertain to what extent the new technology can ensure that the driver is prepared to take control immediatelyโ€”should the system fail or prove unable to manage unforeseen situations. In this matter, I believe that road safety is best safeguarded by Norway awaiting the EUโ€™s decision. Should the EU adopt the system, Norway will align itself with it, in accordance with our obligations under the EEA Agreement. It is also crucial that drivers who will use the system receive thorough training, ensuring they understand how the system functions and its limitations, while remaining aware that the driver always retains responsibility for the operation of the vehicle. It is highly important that the Norwegian Public Roads Administration continues its efforts to safeguard road safety while participating in the development of international regulations for both driver-assistance systems and automated driving.ยป

๐Ÿšจ UPDATE: A Norwegian MP just put Tesla FSD on the Stortinget agenda. KrFโ€™s Jรธrgen H. Kristiansen asked the transport minister two blunt questions: โ€ข Will Norway actually submit input before the next EU vote on FSD (Supervised)? โ€ข Will the government consider national recognition if the EU clears it โ€” like Denmark already did? Statens vegvesen has already said Norway gave no input before the Oct 6 EU committee meeting that ended with no vote (pushed to December). Eight EU countries already allow the system. Denmark didnโ€™t wait. Norway still does. FSD canโ€™t come fast enough to Norway. --- Sources --- google.com/url?q=https://wwwโ€ฆ
