To me, one of the most striking aspects of intactivism is how remarkably few men in this movement who were subjected to genital mutilation as children publicly demand legal accountability, justice, or reparations for what was done to them. I can understand many of the psychological and social mechanisms behind this reluctance, but its sheer prevalence remains difficult to comprehend. I suspect it reflects a much broader societal problem surrounding male victimhood and the deeply ingrained expectation that men should endure violations of their bodily autonomy without openly identifying themselves as victims or demanding accountability. I can't imagine western women behaving in a way that even approximates what we're seeing from men. Ironically, one of the most powerful ways to challenge the perceived legitimacy of this practice would be for thousands of affected men to publicly pursue legal action against the parents and medical professionals responsible. Such a movement would send an unmistakable message.

I can't accept how damaged I am by infant foreskin amputation. After so many years, I'm still not able to be at any level of peace with what happened to me. The anatomical damage is very severe. I was cut to a CI-0 at birth and nearly my entire frenulum was removed. No anesthetic was used apparently. My parents admitted I was inconsolable for weeks, and they were pretty concerned at the time. I struggled with irrational terror and fear my entire childhood. This horrific mutilation caused lifelong negative changes to my nervous system and neurological anatomy. Now as an adult, I still deal with the consequences everyday. I hate putting t-tape on my penis everyday to tug on a pathetic tiny remanent of my foreskin, so I can get back a weak imitation of the native foreskin that I should have. I hate how when last week the girl I finally moved onto next base with tried to jerk me off, it felt like a painful rugburn, and I sincerely wanted to blow my fucking brains out in that moment. I was pretending like I was enjoying what was going on. So many moments like that for me in me life. I hate how I can't get an erection for more than 5 minutes without being in pain because the scarline 1/3 of the way down my shaft gets stretched out too much and becomes painful. I hate how I wake up in the night from painful erections. I am just straight up sexually dysfunctional and psychologically unstable. I wouldn't be surprised if this is a true story. What's crazy is that a large portion of medical professionals in the United States think that the foreskin of a young boy should be retractable when in reality the ability to retract happens through a natural separation process that begins around puberty. There is an epidemic of medical professionals encouraging forced retraction on young boys which actually can cause significant damage and particularly so if the foreskin is still tightly fused and the retraction extends far down. There is an insane obsession with retracting and cleaning the fused foreskin of an infant/child. He kind of presents this in a joking way, but the reality is that a lot of kids who escape routine/ritual infant foreskin amputation still end up getting their foreskin amputated as a child because the parents and medical professionals think that if it isn't retractable as child, you're going to have a non functioning penis or something. I can't find the humor in it because of how ghoulish the situation is.
