I recently came across data on who we spend our time with over the course of our lives.
The insights are simultaneously inspiring and depressing.

On the same day that a man attempts to kill the Speaker of the House, a judge in Arizona has ruled that armed citizens can show up to *monitor* ballot boxes as part of their "constitutional rights." This is how democracy ends.

Last year I taught myself R with resources I primarily found via Twitter. I've been meaning to share some of the resources here, and I finally have a little time today. So here they are... π§΅

Hi. Please include community college representatives on panels about the future of education. More than 40% of undergrad students in the U.S. attend a #CommunityCollege & most (~56%) identify as a person of color. When CCs are left out, structural inequities are reinforced.

I wish everyone on Earth knew how genuinely "off the charts" key planetary trends are right now, and how abnormal and critical it is. Things like atmospheric CO2 fraction, heat extremes on land and ocean, biodiversity loss and extinction rates. All alarms should be going off

The Founding Fathers wrote a constitution designed to prevent a tyranny of the majority. But what happens when you have a tyranny of the minority, gaming the system to promote a radical agenda that flouts the will of the majority under the guise of constitutionalism?
