That Israel will not permit an autonomous Palestinian state or full citizenship for Palestinian people, and that it now seeks to eliminate Palestinian people in occupied territory, has broken through for most people, voiding residual moral claims for Israel as a Jewish state.

They are asking for a piece of bread.
Imagine a mother waking up inside a displacement tent, surrounded by hungry children, knowing she has no bread to give them.
Imagine a little child waiting for hours, hoping that someone will arrive carrying food.
🍞 At Project Mohammed, we continue distributing bread directly to displaced families across Gaza, reaching children and mothers who have almost nothing left.
But the bread we deliver will eventually run out, and the hunger will remain.
💔 Every day, more children wake up hungry.
💔 Mothers divide a single piece of bread among several children.
💔 Families wait desperately for our distributions, hoping they will not return to their tents empty-handed.
No child should have to beg for bread just to survive.
We are a team of young people working directly inside Gaza. Despite the destruction, danger, and enormous difficulties, we continue reaching displaced families with our own hands.
But our resources are running out, and thousands of children are still waiting.

Less than 48 hours after I wrote this piece about how Democratic leaders’ reflex is to always say no to the public’s demands, Schatz went on CNN to promise that if Dems win, they will not to try to do anything voters are demanding that Trump might veto. Incredible.

💔 Look at this little girl. She was injured and lost her hand as a result of Israeli bombing. Yet, despite everything she has suffered, she is still struggling to fill her container with clean water.
Her little hands should have been holding toys. Instead, she lost one of them to war and is now forced to struggle for something as basic as a drink of water.
Imagine the pain of a little girl who has already lost so much, standing beside a water truck, trying with all the strength she has left to bring water back to her family.
💧 Today, we continue distributing clean water directly to displaced families in Gaza. Children rush toward our trucks carrying empty containers, while mothers anxiously wait for their turn.
💔 But the water we deliver today will run out. Tomorrow, these same children may wake up thirsty again.
Our resources are painfully limited. Without your support, we cannot keep the water trucks moving to families in desperate need.

as an underground venue operator in SF for 10+ years, I do wish the city had more good clubs.
the problem: SF tech ppl don't care about music+art, and SF status is about money/companies, not coolness. the venue for that is already the entire tech industry & the rest of the city
My experience partying all night at Berghain in Berlin made me think of how we're lacking this experience in the San Francisco tech scene. We can literally become the coolest, most tasteful social scene on Earth if we had our version of Berghain, but better. So let's build it. The best aspect of Berhain is how they select who gets in. The club has a vibe and atmosphere, and if you aren't wearing the right clothes or have the right demeanor, you don't get in. That's how you cultivate a tasteful crowd. We can improve on this by only letting in high agency, talented operators in the tech scene who can still pull off dope outfits, so no geeks. SF is in dire need of late night venues, and Berghain goes until 8am. That's a little too crazy for high net worth operators who are changing the world so we could do something like 2am. Berghain also is kinda dark and in a weird building so we'd put the club in a SoMa corporate office that we convert to speakeasy or barcade vibe. Maybe add a quiet area for people to bring their laptops and work? I honestly feel like we're improving on the Berghain form here, especially by swapping out the crowd of weird partiers in inappropriate clothes (or lack there of) with insanely cracked founders and engineers. I'm super stoked about this idea, SF tech could really run the dopest parties on the planet.

I've been reviewing a lot of code written by Opus 5.5, and it still seems to make a lot of bad software engineering decisions. The kind that will accumulate/calcify into unmaintainable software over time. IMO even the agents will struggle to maintain vibecoded software.
