Happy 78th birthday to Kentucky’s beloved and iconic Dan Issel!
Dan played three seasons at UK and became its all-time leading scorer and rebounder. Records he still holds 56 years later.
His professional career spanned 15 years, and when he retired in 1985, he was the 5th leading scorer in professional basketball history and 15th leading rebounder (ABA and NBA combined). Let that sink in.
He led his teams to six championship series, including winning the 1975 ABA championship with the Kentucky Colonels.
Dan is a great and gracious gentleman whom we can never adequately thank for all the wonderful memories he’s given us. But we can still try.
Happy birthday to a legendary human being, Dan Issel!!
And thank you!!

Dan turned 78 today.
He was a Kentucky standout and is the leading scorer in school history.
He was an ABA star and champ and when combined with his NBA stats, is the 14th leading scorer in pro hoops history.
One of our state's all-time best. I remember watching his littleton teams taking on the city's best.. great theatre. Some good player at Lton..Brooks, Dorais, Caldwell, larsen to name a few. #copreps

The Champions Tour doing away with Q School is just flat out wrong.
Being able to play at the highest level at and beyond the age of 50 should never be about whether you “supported” the PGA Tour, it should be entirely about who the best players are who are at the age of 50 and older.
Played 1,4, 10, 14,20 & 56. IMO, pinehurst 2 is overrated.. good, solid course but nothing spectacular about it. I enjoyed Pine Needles just as much.
Too 100 golf courses in the world 2025-2026⛳
While Augusta National is beautiful and it is such a dream to play there, I think there are so many other amazing golf courses in the world. Pinehurt No. 2 is a dream course of mine. I have never been to any of the courses on this list, but hopefully some day I am able to check a few off the list!
Comment if you have played any of these!"

Sad to see Dalton Knecht get waived by Lakers. Hopefully he lands somewhere else. Still marvel at that senior year he had at Tennessee!
