Colorado Task Force 1 (CO-TF1) is being activated in response to historic flooding across southern and southwestern Colorado, including Pagosa Springs, Durango, South Fork, Monte Vista, and Del Norte.
The task force is deploying a 16-member swiftwater and flood rescue team, with mobilization beginning at 5 a.m. Monday.

Zion National Park. The Zion-Mt. Carmel Highway is open again after a large rock formation collapsed onto the road on Sept. 30.
Road: The park reopened the highway Oct. 9 after crews cleared rock and torn-up asphalt. The repaired section is gravel for now and will be repaved soon, so drive it slowly and watch for crews.
Trails: The Watchman Trail is still closed pending repairs, with no reopening date. Hidden Canyon is closed too, and Observation Point can only be reached from the east. Mid-October storms brought flash flood closures to the Narrows and slot canyons and stranded about 50 hikers on the Emerald Pools Trail before the water dropped.
Shuttle: Zion Canyon shuttles still run daily. From Oct. 25, the last shuttle up canyon leaves the Visitor Center at 5 p.m. and the last one out of the Temple of Sinawava leaves at 6:15 p.m.
TRACE take: Fall is one of the best times to be in Zion, but this year it is a fall of rockfall and flash floods. Check conditions the morning you go, and don't push a canyon hike when rain is in the forecast.

Culver City shut down their entire bus system until Monday for this. No alternate service other than walking to parallel routes miles away. Metro should step up and run service on key routes but transit is an afterthought even in the most transit friendly part of town.

Warner Fire Station Siren Update: The audible monthly test is temporarily suspended due to a protected bird’s nest near the siren. The siren is still digitally tested and rotated monthly. HBFD is working with wildlife agencies to safely resume audible testing.
