Ontario faces a shortage of 10,000 early childhood educators, yet its renewed child care agreement freezes their wage floor. Banking on the unwavering commitment of a workforce made up overwhelmingly of women is no substitute for decent pay. canadiandimension.com/articl…

A really well written piece. A good example of economy of writing. Teachers/Professors take note! Thank you @Pam_Palmater. But more importantly a concise balanced history that, if widely read, could move the dial forward wrt Reconciliation: canadiandimension.com/articl…

“Kinew has been a staunch proponent of mines and pipelines, even suggesting that not all laws regulating the mining industry are necessary.” Excellent read by @Pam_Palmater in @CDN_Dimension in regards to @WabKinew
I'm still a newcomer to Canada after 31 years. I also know myself to always be a settler on Turtle Island even after five generations. I still have a lot to learn. I learned a lot from this article by @Pam_Palmater, Mi'kmaw citizen, lawyer and professor at Toronto Metropolitan University. It's about the renewed 🇨🇦 govt maneuvers to take away even more from colonized First Nations people. If you're in Canada and don't already know this stuff -- as I didn't -- you might want to read this. canadiandimension.com/articl…

Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew’s call to abolish the Indian Act echoes a troubling history of governments using similar rhetoric to sideline First Nations rights and advance resource extraction, writes @Pam_Palmater. canadiandimension.com/articl…

With many of its 170 CEO members hailing from oil, gas, and pipeline companies, the Business Council has been naturally eager to undo the climate policies and regulations of the Trudeau years. Canada’s CEOs and PM Carney are united. canadiandimension.com/articl…
