A pleasure to host @BBCSport’s @sistoney67 this week to talk about two decades of fan-owned football in Manchester, and the ongoing situation ownership situation with the Glazers and Ratcliffe at Manchester United ⬇️

As the criticism of Man Utd ownership is heightened. I spoke to @FCUnitedMcr, the club created as a direct result of Glazer takeover in 2005, ahead of tomorrow’s big FA Cup tie to see how they are doing. bbc.co.uk/sport/football/art…

Debt and interest levels as bad as they’ve been in 15 years
As always, it’s the supporters who are left paying the price, financially and emotionally
There is no end in sight to the damage that the Glazers and Ratcliffe have been allowed to inflict on Manchester United

21 years ago, supporters responded to what was happening at Manchester United by creating FC United - a protest against what football was becoming
The fight goes on for the respect we deserve as fans. Keep making your voices heard ✊️
Thank you Steve and @The__1958 for joining us at Broadhurst Park today for @FCUnitedMcr’s ‘United, United Day’. The Q&A was great and it’s clear how much work you’re doing behind the scenes to put pressure on @ManUtd to improve the fan experience and engagement. Well done! 👏
What a well worded and powerful letter @Luca_Black_. Well done and I’m so sorry that great young fans like yourself are being treated this way by @ManUtd. It’s so wrong! 😠

Heartbreaking to see stories of loyal supporters being treated like ticket touts by Manchester United
Match-going fans are the lifeblood of MUFC and should be rewarded, not replaced
Inexplicable decisions like this are exactly why FC United exists

Brilliant statement this, a lesson in clear, concise, easy to understand communication. Thanks to all the board members and volunteers who’ve put many hours of graft into preparing it - it’s much appreciated 👏
Proud to be a co-owner of this club ✊

It is decisions like this that led me to leave @ManUtd and go to @FCUnitedMcr instead. At Broadhurst Park, we would never treat our fans / co-owners like this. Embarrassing from those steering the ship at Old Trafford.
'Helpless' Man United fan, 76, TURFED OUT of seat which his family have used for 77 years at Old Trafford... as Sir Jim Ratcliffe kicks 1,100 supporters out of their spots to make way for £425-a-head hospitality section trib.al/kHHic9i

Heartbreaking stuff.
Manchester United executives show no respect for the emotional bond supporters have to the club.
Old Trafford already has more than enough hospitality seats, but the Glazers and INEOS keep pushing for more.
Always profit over fans — that’s the reality.
“I have my dad’s seat number tattooed on my arm. It’s just kind of gone now. It’s just crazy.”
Manchester United are relocating just over 500 season ticket holders in the Sir Bobby Charlton Stand to other parts of Old Trafford.
