Got my kid a palate expander. He was a loud snorer. I had no idea about any of this. Now his snoring is muted. His sleep is better. Teeth much less crowded. They also don't hurt nearly as bad as in years past. I can't say enough good things.

A key argument made in the so-called independent investigation against Sabatini was that they claimed he used or tolerated crude language in the workplace. MIT cites the outcome of this investigation as the basis for his removal. What became clear during the court case was that Knouse routinely used extreme, vulgar, and pornographic language with her student. She would casually describe the state of her vagina and her sexual arousal in graphic terms and made explicit jokes about genitalia, rape, and sex. These documents are publicly available. MIT was aware of this evidence, yet it continues to claim that Sabatini and his work environment were the problem. The double standard is glaring.
🤯🤬 “God fuck him” “Rip his balls” “Need to seal every crack in the coffin” —This is how two MIT professors talked about their scheme to bring down Dr. David Sabatini. (Kristin Knouse called it Operation Dethrone.) This was an extensive MeToo hoax that was born out of personal and institutional malevolence.

NEW: Ukraine's air raid alert system was hacked, sending warnings of chemical and radiation threats to phones across the country. The loudspeaker alert system was also compromised, blaring a similar message in the streets of Kyiv.

Readers of the NYT do not want journalism. Same is true on the MAGA side as well. Trying to play it straight gets you a lot of hate.
NYT again tries to explain to its aggrieved readers what a newspaper is and what it is supposed to do. Hint: Its job isn't to get Democrats elected, even in the Trump era nytimes.com/2026/10/31/insid…

I was raised by missionaries. It’s always been obvious that most Americans are ridiculously naive about what the rest of the world is like. And prosperity gospel Protestantism has people believing the key to American financial success was Christianity. That is a woefully incomplete assessment.

Yes, the GOP is retarded No, you can’t vote for Democrats if you want your children to have a country
'Everybody [is] waiting for the Democrats to win': Another migrant caravan left southern Mexico in October and some migrants we interviewed said they hope for a Democrat victory in the midterms so the U.S. starts shifting away from Trump's immigration policies. W/@Phase2Deport:

If we had the demographics of the 1980s and the Democratic Party of the 1980s - these midterms would be a bloodbath for the GOP. Something like 1994. But we don’t. We have a party that barely hides its disdain for white Americans, and is an overall freak show. So we’ll see.

Charlie Kirk posted this photo just days before he was murdered. He didn’t know it then, but he had voted for the last time. If Charlie made a positive difference in your life—as he certainly did in mine—please honor his memory by voting. He can’t vote. But we can.
God, family, country. In that order. Happy Labor Day!

In 2023, Texas banned puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and transition surgeries for kids under 18. Jon Rosenthal voted NO. James Talarico voted NO. Protecting kids shouldn't be a partisan vote, but it was. Tuesday. Our kids aren't a Marxist's experiment.

This debate over noncitizens on California’s voter rolls could be resolved in under a day if California simply used the same federal database it has relied on for 40 years to confirm Medi-Cal applicants’ citizenship. California has raised no issues with this database for Medi-Cal, so why not use it to check voter eligibility. Noncitizens voting is illegal under federal and state law. California could quickly run its unredacted voter rolls through the federal citizenship database. 34 states already do this to confirm noncitizens aren’t voting, giving everyone confidence in the upcoming election results. What is California afraid of?

This is how I feel about a nuclear war. Take the family and watch it and vaporize. Not interested in “living” in a situation like The Road. Even billionaires in bunkers will end up mince meat. I devote my life to preventing these catastrophes.
Here’s “the question” this morning. Let’s pretend there is a yuge emp pulse. Straight on. Fries basically everything digital and unhardened. I think we all understand that would be a near extinction level event. How many of you *really* want to survive in the post-emp world? Because I’m unconvinced I’d want to live like that indefinitely. Post EMP we could conceivably rebuild. Maybe worth holding on for a while to see how things went. But if the event is a highly fatal respiratory virus and it’s all practical and functional wasteland. I’m not sure I’d want to live like that. I’m not suggesting suicide nor anything worse. But if it’s going to be look out for and fight roving marauders to defend a split can of beans and corn. Idk. I’d probably be ok when the pneumonia took me out. Plus being cold. I hate being cold. Grid down sounds like a lot of being cold. I promise I know how to put together an indefinite survival set up. I’ve forgotten more on this topic than most of you will ever read and accumulate. Part of the reason I even moved where I did had these thoughts in mind. The likely natural disasters, the kind of people, the wind pattern as it relates to known nuclear missile ranges and cities that could or would take a direct strike, availability of freely flowing water, growing seasons. Etc etc etc. But at the end of your day. My life is better not overly worrying about something that could happen possibly tomorrow, next week, next month, in a decade or never at all during my lifetime. Frame the worry and paranoia correctly and you’ll see that it’s not that helpful and it creates cognitive barriers to seeing the world right through confirmation bias that feeds back to your worry and paranoia. None of this is an argument not to have 3 days of water or supplies. In the abstract. Three days isn’t enough for anything outside of a post-storm electrical outage or similar. You can now get into navel gazing about how much supply. 2 weeks. 30 days. 3 months. A year! ??? Procuring it. Storing it. Pruning it as needed. Gaze at the navel further about the calories and macros. What you’re going to do for fruit, veggies, fiber. Etc. Will it matter. And when would it matter. Etc. One of the things you never see talked about much is what you’d need to do for sanitation and where everyone does their excretion of normal bodily waste. It can’t be in the house. This is just one more issue that needs a lot more good thought that you might think at first blush. Planning to “bug” out? To where? The bug out bag and your local forest will KILL you (and likely your kids). Well most of you. There are hardcases that can exist like that. Solo. Chances are if you think you are that guy, you are not. But maybe. Be honest with yourself. Who’s going to keep the watch. You were planning to sleep, right? Theres a lot to consider. Have a few supplies in case of a regular enough occuring storm (or earthquake) related halt in just on time deliveries and local utilities. But I don’t think going deep into the prepper rabbit hole is actually realistically helpful or productive. Spend more time in TODAY with the people and activities you I’ve and less planning of possible shootouts at 4 way stops.

Medical care is a finite resource. Appointments, diagnostic tests, staffing, clinic space, meds, therapy modalities…. these do not exist as infinite wells from which everyone can pull. Specialists have 24 hours in a day. ZERO resources should be spent on people who do not need them when the finite resource being limited causes harm to others. If Disney world has three passes for people who can’t walk and you take one because you think you have (insert whatever here) and it’s kinda hard to get around there is a kid with zero chance of participating otherwise and zero mobility who won’t go. Because you took the pass that day. So what I’m saying is DO NOT TAKE THE RESOURCES. Don’t take the clinical time. Do not take the Disney mobility scooter tag. Do not use the handicapped stall.
how does two people having the same medical diagnosis equate to one taking resources from the other? those resources are meant for every who needs them. there isnt one single resource pie that everyone needs to eat from. i hope you're never my nurse
