It's one thing to hack a computer. It's another to compromise a machine that can take physical action.
Autonomous systems depend on cryptographic authentication to establish trust.
Robots, connected devices, and industrial controllers use authentication to verify commands and software updates. Compromised signing keys can enable unauthorized instructions or malicious firmware installation. Long-lived systems require authentication mechanisms that remain secure as cryptographic threats evolve.

Claude Mythos 5 redesigned core quantum circuits and beat the best published designs on 7 of 8 tasks. On elliptic-curve point addition, the costliest step in quantum attacks on #ECDSA, one circuit uses 17x fewer gates for only 12% more qubits.
It ran for 53 hours in a closed loop with almost no human input and produced a new reversible algorithm.
