7 years ago, Chakra UI was launched 🎉 Today, we’ve grown to over 6M monthly downloads! It’s been an incredible journey, and we couldn’t have done it without the people who use, share, contribute to and support Chakra Thank you to the entire open source community for rocking with us all these years 🚀

This September makes it 7 years of building Chakra UI @chakra_ui ⚡️ Building something for this long teaches you a lot about consistency I've been reflecting on the last 7 years and what building DevRel around an open source project has taught me I wrote all about the experience in this post: dev.to/_estheradebayo/7-year…

That’s one of the main reasons I have stuck with @chakra_ui. Also, assuming you are working in React, adopting is so much more straightforward, and you get components, in addition to great theming primitives.

Instead of manually applying color on every component, a clean way to work with color is to use the 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞 prop. ✅ Set it on a component and everything within that component that uses semantic colors pick it up automatically
