It took me 30 years, but today I got a diagnosis for autism. Still awaiting an official diagnosis as to where I am on the spectrum, but my God it's a relief. It's not really surprised me, but it's been so liberating and has helped me to better understand myself

🚨 ICJP is calling on the @metpoliceuk to urgently investigate the @WTM_London following its decision to host the Jerusalem Development Authority (JDA), an Israeli state agency linked to illegal settlement expansion, at this week's event (3-5 Nov).

Hospitals are running out of fuel, medicines and oxygen in Taiz, #Yemen, while roads are closed. Essential supplies must be allowed through.
I echo @UNReliefChief's call for urgent humanitarian access, and the protection of civilians and humanitarians.
The death of a second @UN colleague in detention is deeply distressing and unacceptable. All detained humanitarians, including one @WHO colleague, must be released!

Egyptian-American surgeon Adam Hamawy, who volunteered in Gaza during the genocidal war and performed more than 100 surgical operations, has won a seat in the U.S. Congress representing the state of New Jersey, becoming the first Muslim to represent the state in its history.

In #Myanmar, a newborn baby was among five people reportedly killed when an attack in Rakhine State destroyed a maternity ward and neonatal unit of a community clinic, where the baby was receiving care. Health care workers were also among the casualties.
The incident is not isolated. So far this year, @WHO has verified 62 attacks on health care that resulted in 53 deaths in Myanmar. Due to insecurity and communication blockages, our ability to verify attacks is limited. Therefore, the total number of the attacks may be higher.
The continued rise in attacks on health care around the world is deeply alarming. People are losing their lives in places where they should be receiving lifesaving care.
We urge all parties to conflicts to respect international humanitarian law and protect health facilities, health workers and patients everywhere.
Health care must never be a target!

#Gaza: We produced the last 3D-printed mask for severe burn patients on Oct. 14.
Due to restrictions and blockages of supplies by Israeli authorities, we can no longer provide this service, leaving children at greater risk of lifelong disabilities.

How did that go?
On this day 109 years ago today British foreign secretary Arthur Balfour sent a letter to Lord Rothschild, a leading member of the UK's Jewish community, expressing the British government's support for the establishment of a Jewish national homeland in Israel.
It laid the foundation for the eventual end of the British Mandate of Palestine and the establishment of the State of Israel.
This article from the declaration's centenary explains how the Labour party already supported its aims months before it was written:

Let's not forget thar Balfour and Lloyd George were antisemites while Edwin Montagu, the cabinet's only Jew at the time, called the policy "anti-Semitic and in result will prove a rallying ground for anti-Semites in every country in the world". How right he was

Israel has allowed only 33.3% of the humanitarian aid trucks agreed upon to enter Gaza since the ceasefire agreement came into effect.
This year alone, a four-year-old boy died at a checkpoint, and a woman was forced to deliver a stillbirth in the West Bank because Israeli forces would not allow patients through checkpoints in time. What else can this be described as, other than apartheid?
Today in Hebron 02/11/2026 , a Palestinian child fell while walking home from school and suffered a broken leg (a leg fracture).
I called the Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance at 12:42 PM. However, the ambulance did not arrive until 2:10 PM because it could not enter the area without coordination with the Israeli army.
The injured child had to endure an hour and a half of pain before the ambulance could reach him and transport him to hospital.
No child should have to wait in pain for emergency medical assistance.
What's particularly galling is that settlement expansion has led to the death of a four-month-old baby while waiting for a checkpoint to open – as clear a sign of apartheid as you can get

They have displaced 5,000 people already.
Horrific.
Sally Saleh, Head of Emergency at @MedicalAidPal, told @liliasebouai @TelGlobalHealth that there is no capacity to monitor patients or guarantee consistent medical access, so preventable complications from cancer, kidney disease and diabetes will accumulate

I’ll be looking today to see if media outlets point out that millions of Palestinians, living under Israeli military rule in the occupied West Bank, have no right to vote. Yet, Israeli settlers, living in settlements in the West Bank, are considered Israeli citizens and can vote.

One year since devastating atrocities in El Fasher, nearly 900,000 displaced people are sheltering in Tawila.
Civilians there told me they need protection, aid and accountability. Instead they are at prolonged risk, aid budgets have been cut, and no accountability.

I have been detained by Israeli security forces all day. Along with with MPs @labourlewis, @larabirdsnp, MSP Kate Nevans, former MP @SamTarry and campaigners from across the world, we were turned back because they don’t want anyone seeing their ethnic cleansing.
