It is viable, no matter how much you or anyone else insist otherwise.

It is viable. I am doing it. ModRetro is about to launch several Made in USA products. Even Oculus had one!

Gnomes are not and will never be real. There is no internal understanding. They are literally just garden statues. except for the one in my vents

You don’t release a video like this for an incrementally better model.
There are many futures. Which do you want to build?

“AI is going to take your job!” I FUCKING HOPE SO. Take my job. Take your job. Take everyone’s job. Automate the entire economy. Make intelligence practically free. Make labor practically free. Drive the cost of everything down. Why are we treating the elimination of human labor as some kind of tragedy? For thousands of years, humanity has dreamed of a world where machines do the work and people enjoy their lives. Now that we’re getting close, everyone’s having a mental breakdown. I don’t want a better job. I want a world where nobody needs one.

Lots of debate this week on whether journals should ban AI in peer review. We actually tested this in our new preprint, and the results were pretty clear to me. For context, I've reviewed for most of the big journals and evaluated 1,000 human reviews as an editor. I love to read and evaluate science. TLDR: From now on I won't do any peer review without AI. For clinical trials, I'd even call human-only review dangerous 🧵

Feels like we’re entering a whole new chapter of design, where curiosity wins, rules get bent, and clients are finally up for the adventure

Perhaps change your request. "Look at the wave form and transcript and assign each syllable to a bump that makes sense when cutting dialog"

and you can just screenshot this and tell AI to set it up for you 😁
lots of conversation about agentic video editing all you need to start are > astra ultra or opus 5.5 (maybe terra now) > davinci resolve (idt it knows capcut as well for now) > skills you start building up over time. tell it to do as much headless as possible. then computer use with davinci resolve, with checkpoints for you to check color grading etc (still weak on S curves) > create a folder to start collecting "template" videos of people who have reels/long form snippets you like > work with the agent driver on your videos and update the skills at the end of each process of getting a decent outcome > do this for a week > you will have a 1 shot agentic video editor (and the fun of more templates to curate for future experimenting)

everyone saying this is "performative" or "useless" is missing the entire point those are the people that will fall behind
i started having my agents print off technical (nasa like) review sheets for when they have stuff ready for me i also got some newsprint and it feels so authentic and good to use

your AGENTS.md is probably 400 lines too long claude and codex skim it just like you do keep it short and it might actually follow the rules

If you're in college, you should *abuse* your school email Literally ANYBODY you want to talk to, reach out to them from a ".edu" email & you're golden Once you're out of school, it gets 100x harder since people assume money is involved. Everybody wants to help college kids

If you're going to try, go all the way. Otherwise, don't even start. This could mean losing girlfriends, wives, relatives and maybe even your mind. It could mean not eating for three or four days. It could mean freezing on a park bench. It could mean jail. It could mean derision. It could mean mockery, isolation. Isolation is the gift. All the others are a test of your endurance, of how much you really want to do it. And, you'll do it, despite rejection and the worst odds. And it will be better than anything else you can imagine. If you're going to try, go all the way. There is no other feeling like that. You will be alone with the gods, and the nights will flame with fire. You will ride life straight to perfect laughter. It's the only good fight there is.
