The best way to gain job security is not being the most knowledgeable person in the room. It's being the most reliable person in the room. Information is abundant. Dependability, helpfulness, and responsiveness are relatively scarce. We count on people who consistently deliver.

Mcvay is awesome!
Sean McVay talks about his Trust Triangle and the 3 C's for coaches. 1. Character 2. Competence 3. Connection "If you have the character, if you have the competence, and you have the ability to connect where you really commit to it, then that's going to lead to real trust." 📹: Pure Athlete Podcast

Dan Lanning said, "I've always felt your best teams are what I call player-led teams." "The coaches aren't in the room, I think it speaks to the character of the players." The best teams are player-led. They don’t wait to be told - they live the standard every day.

Coaches leave typically for two reasons: 1. They need significantly more resources or support to compete at a championship level. 2. They have a burning desire to play for the biggest stakes possible. Their wife and kids could be very happy, but coming up short is killing them inside. It eats away at them daily. No man dreams of being the runner up. Mediocrity stirs no man’s soul.

Nick Sirianni GOLD 🥇 “You can’t be great without the greatness of others.” Championship teams aren’t built on talent alone. They’re built on trust, accountability, and the willingness to sacrifice ME for WE. The best leaders make everyone better. The best teams play FOR each other.
