The last few years at Oakbrook we’ve been building our core application platform named O6K. Its been a long journey along which we’ve rebuilt our tech stack from the ground-up whilst still delivering value. Here's a little about how we achieved it: medium.com/@mattwhetton/tran…
I recently spoke at @dddeastmidlands about technical debt management and how I think we can do it better. Its a topic that I'm both frustrated with and passionate about because I do think there's a better way. lnkd.in/dSDWQ388

Forming a culture of security awareness is critical in protecting your organisation. I thought I’d write a little about how we think about security awareness at Oakbrook, with particular reference to phishing. link.medium.com/DsJQgAUD2kb – at Burton upon Trent, England

Expressing some thoughts in a bit more detail - it's all about drawing boxes! And arrows, of course. connell.dev/drawing-boxes/ Underpins some other things I bang on about from time to time

Been playing with a little idea of writing APIs without controllers. Just bind to models and throw them straight into a MediatR pipeline. What would you miss about controllers? github.com/connellw/Controll…

I wrote last week at a high level about how guiding principles help engineering alignment. Following that up I wanted to provide a more detailed explanation of the principles we adopt at Oakbrook, what they mean to us and why they’re important. link.medium.com/bM48DrAdJjb
There's a balance when managing engineering teams between design freedom, architectural alignment and cognitive load. Establishing fundamental principles in approach and regularly reviewing them is a critical ingredient in our formula at Oakbrook. link.medium.com/zLLKriITvjb
We ran our first Innovate28 hack event a few weeks ago at Oakbrook. Running these kind of events is great for culture and a whole array of other things…link.medium.com/7y1gFLYX1ib – at Burton upon Trent, England

. @onepeloton any news on when this minor outage will be fixed? We basically cannot use the bike right now as every class freezes and buffers several times
.@tado so my heating is out of action for the second time in the last couple of months due to what looks like software or firmware issues. Response times from Tado currently at about 20 hours. Just glad I don’t have an elderly person or child depending on this system – at Burton upon Trent, England
