while the whole crypto ecosystem is grabbing privacy as the next big opportunity, I have some doubts tbh.
I am pro privacy, but without building a proper enforcement layer, privacy will be the breeding bed for more crimes in crypto.
That could be the final nail on the coffin for this industry.
We need properly solutions, not naive approaches that expect everyone jump on privacy is of legit reasons.
❗️ Crypto mixer Railgun ignored a US lawsuit claiming it laundered North Korea's stolen crypto, and is now in default.
The plaintiffs are victims and families holding $865M in US terrorism judgments against North Korea.
Courts found it abducted a US permanent resident pastor in China in 2000 and tortured him to death, and backed Hezbollah's 2006 rocket attacks on Israel.
They say Railgun should have frozen North Korea's funds so they could seize them.
The FBI says North Korean hackers laundered $60M+ through Railgun in January 2023. The suit claims ~70% of the money it handled was North Korea's.
Ai will give rise to a new type of business, ones aren’t operatable by a single person, now it’s all possible. Businesses like
- super low margin businesses
- edge businesses operate in grey area
- business with adversarial compatibility
how to hack a defi protocol without consequences.
1. short the protocol token before the hack
2. hack the protocol, token price drops
3. exit short position, lock in profit
4. return hacked funds to the protocol and keep 10%

gonna love how cheap it is to deploy to Eth mainnet right now, 12 contracts cost $4.8.
The EIP's replay to ~block 25M found 2 post-Cancun SELFDESTRUCT burns, so dropping it breaks very little. A real burn primitive would still beat everyone sending ETH to 0xdead.
alright, i keep looking into the Glamsterdam EIPs. let's take EIP-8246: eips.ethereum.org/EIPS/eip-8…. we have more than 26,792 ETH sitting in major burn addresses. EIP-8246 wants to remove the remaining SELFDESTRUCT burn mechanics (see my quoted tweet, where i showcase the mechanics to be removed). and yes, it's correct that this mechanism is barely used in practice (unfortunately). but that's my challenge: is this not a failure on our part to make the possibility more prominent? i mean, i literally spoke to various smart contract devs today. _none_ (no joking) of them knew that you could _truly_ burn ETH at the protocol level. so, hmmmmm, instead of continuing to send eth to dead addresses, we should make "irreversible" burning more accessible if you ask me. even better, we should introduce a first-class burn primitive w/o requiring some fancy EVM magic. ulitmately, ETH sitting in dead addresses is effectively useless (unless i find their pk one day with my 24M-qubit machine lol), but it still exists in the protocol's state. irreversibly destroying ETH would actually remove it from the supply and makes it "cleaner".
this is terrible. could the boss find this tweet?
The nature of AI leads to centralised powers, blockchain is the force to balance that.
This is how blockchain and AI gonna integrate.
ledger just announced a new device, right after all these supply chain hacks with user losing tons of money.
Seriously.
Your wealth is digital. The device you manage it with should be built for that.

working with @claudeai through different devices and with chat and code is just a nightmare...
and Hermes does not have an ios app yet.
the big opportunity - a harness cross platform, sync well and support voice chat.
Save crypto, don’t let it rot and die.
If you want to know why I’m so rattled recently, I’ve been in this space 10 years and it turned out not what I thought it was going to be. Crypto used to mean something, now it’s attracted the worst kind of people and I just can’t really relate to any of it.
Imagine being in a club that played absolutely amazing tech house bangers, you’re having the time of your life and then someone comes along and starts playing gay disco, the doors are locked, you can’t get out.
Unless we build enforcement layer for crypto, terrible things like this will happen more often.
Crypto could becomes a dystopia and die, it is already well on its way.
THE BLOCK: Crypto trader "realist" was allegedly robbed of roughly $800,000 in crypto during a home invasion in the UK.
According to his posts on X, intruders used tape, held knives to his face, and forced the transfer of funds held in his wallets and a Ledger device. The trader said he only sustained a few bruises.
