The non-unified messaging is precisely because it’s decentralized and not corporate
Lots of people missed this, I think. Soon, @vizorwallet will have quantum-unlinkable swaps, and it doesn't need to wait for a network upgrade. Yet another way it leads the privacy frontier of Zcash right now.
If your Zcash wallet uses NEAR Intents, each swap you make adds your shielded address to a public ledger. A quantum computer could use this to link all your payments that share the same key.
In Vizor, each swap will get its own key to prevent this.

8 billion people are eventually going to use Zcash

I choose Zcash because it’s better equipped for quantum readiness and scalability. All its shortcomings can be fixed.

The actions of specific people involved over the long and storied history of a 13 year old project doesn’t tell you anything useful about security. For that you have to read the source code and familiarize yourself with technology.

No, I don’t believe either are compromised by the state. They are both open source protocols, so auditors with security expertise can inspect the protocols and determine if there is “nothing up my sleeve”.
I have deep familiarity with cryptography and software engineering and haven’t found anything concerning.

I read this as hypocritical
You should reconsider your critique of Zcash

Or the fact that Tor is integrated into the mainline Monero codebase?
Replying to @bWlsbGVy
Ok so if you consider Tor compromised then what does that say about Monero’s adoption?

That’s Joi Ito’s fault and he resigned from MIT over it in 2019. There’s no need to relitigate it now, plus the critique is equally applicable to Bitcoin.
The DoD funding is much more applicable to Tor. Anything funded by DoD is just as bad as Israel.
If you’re consistent, denounce Tor and Bitcoin.

I really enjoyed it and got 10+ people to install a wallet and receive ZEC
I won’t make claims about ROI, and I still oppose the dev fund and ZCG.
This year, we brought in more than just the Web3 community. We believe this is something bigger.
Music, fashion, culture & art all came together, bringing in people who'd never heard of crypto or @Zcash.
That was the goal: a whole new audience at the Blockspäti Berlin. 🧡

Catching the last rays of sun in the Blockspäti courtyard was your favourite moment yesterday.
Blockspäti is now OPEN for day two with @Zcash, @developer_dao & @gnosis_.
I oppose the dev fund, and won't comment on sex work but
I will say this group hosted an awesome event during Berlin blockchain week. Hundreds of people inside and outside of the city's crypto scene passed through the space, on-boarded to Zcash and sent transactions. They are great technical communicators who put Zcash onto a lot of people's radar and cast it in a positive light.
The space had a line out the door most nights, some people even pleading with the bouncers to get into the house transformed into a shrine to ZEC where chatter of privacy was inescapable in every conversation
Day 2: Zcash at @EXXXOTICA . @rollergirlVi and @kate_stapes in Mama's zcash kitchen. Giving away protections for your body and your money.
Privacy is ZECsy.
