As Professor Charles Xavier, he taught us that our differences could be our greatest strengths. As Captain Jean-Luc Picard, he showed us what it means to lead with courage, compassion, and integrity.
His extraordinary talent brought these characters to life, giving generations of fans someone to look up to and stories they’ll carry forever.
Thank you for the memories, the inspiration, and a lifetime of unforgettable performances.
Rest in peace, Sir Patrick. ❤️
We are thrilled to share one of the biggest grails in sealed media has now been graded by @cgagrading and is in our collection:
A 1979 sealed first-release VHS of The Godfather Part II.
Based on our research and discussions, this appears to be the only sealed example of the original Godfather Part II first release VHS currently known to exist.
In 1979, only three years after VHS was introduced to the world, Paramount released The Godfather Part II as a two-tape set in this large gatefold box. A few months later, Paramount had downsized the packaging so the cassettes fit more snugly. Bulky boxes were also a challenge for retailers trying to save shelf space, making these early releases a fascinating snapshot of VHS history. The second release VHS of The Godfather Part II came in a smaller gatefold box, with gold lettering on the front cover.
The film won six Academy Awards, including Best Picture, making it the first sequel to claim the Academy’s top honor. It has also ranked as high as #4 on IMDb’s Top 250, a testament to its enduring popularity with fans.
A remarkable piece of film and VHS history, a true museum piece and grail for collectors for one of the greatest films of all time.

BREAKING: PSA just cut turnaround times for Standard and Priority and is reopening the Value service tier 📷
Starting today, Standard and Priority turnaround times are both getting cut by 20 days, Standard now sits at 70-80 business days and Priority at 50-60.
Starting tomorrow, the Value tier reopens globally at $39.99 per card with an estimated turnaround time of 90 -100 business days, though new Value orders go behind everything already in line, and Value Bulk specifically is still closed for now.
PSA says the delays stemmed from a huge submission surge this spring, with April and May volume running 2.5 times last year’s pace. Even with that, PSA has graded 59 million items over the past three years alone, more than the previous 23 years combined, and the backlog is down to 7.2 million units on the way to the 5 million target needed to fully reopen every tier.
🚨 SOLD FOR $50,000 🚨
A 1982 Star Wars Video Rental Library VHS just sold for $50,000, setting a new record! Sold by Nostalgix.
This copy is currently a 1/1 in its highest grade and represents the first home-video release of Star Wars, arriving in 1982 on VHS and Betamax. This early rental-library edition captures a major moment in both Star Wars and home-video history.
This collectible brings together a landmark @StarWars release, a scarce early rental format, and an unmatched top-grade copy. With interest from both Star Wars collectors and VHS collectors, this $50,000 sale shows how much history and condition can matter.
A true grail from the beginning of home video. ✨
