Kellen brought up that Olympic athletes don’t say no to the Olympics, however in non Olympic years, top athletes often turn down invites to events like Pan American Games, Continental champs, and others.
3- which brings me to my idea / question.
What if team USA said we will only go 2 out of every 3 years?
1 Europe and the one in USA. A break every third year.
4- Make it a big deal for the European one the team goes to, show the financial value, don’t ask as much of the top riders, have a year to recoup funds.
