🤯 My e-commerce brand just passed the $500,000 in 2021 YTD revenue mark last week.
No venture funding. Year one. And we're profitable.
I'd like to story tell a few huge learnings I've gained as a 20 year old dropout who formerly cooked fries at McDonald's.
🧵Here we go
Game changing. No more VA’s needed

Was sitting right beside Tyler in his car when this Apple ban moment happened.
It didn’t phase him at all/the way it would’ve messed with me.
Before you know it this guy was back on his feet and in an even better spot. Fall forward.
LFG
Apple banned me on May 14, 2026.
I was doing $500K+ ARR.
At the time, I thought it was the worst thing that could happen to my business.
I had to start over. New platform. New funnel. New marketing strategy.
147 days later:
$102K MRR. $1.2M+ ARR.
Solo founder. Fully bootstrapped.
All on Stripe.
Turns out getting banned was the best thing that ever happened to my business.
Oh, and Stripe's ~2.9% fee beats Apple's 30%.
Thanks, Apple.
Ask me anything in the replies. I'll answer your questions.
P.S. I'm looking to sell the business. I genuinely believe it can reach $1M/month, but I'm ready for my next chapter.
DMs are open for serious buyers.
This is going to make us work so much faster 🤯

Can’t wait for the world to see SideShift V3
Will decimate every other product on the market today
It really pays to have the right people/friends in your network. the type that answer your text in 20 seconds.
Last night at like 1:50 a.m., a software company that I just started a week ago was starting to get a bit of viral traction, and no payments had come through for the whole day, which I found odd. a ton of signups but no $.
Finally, I figured out that my Stripe API keys weren't functioning properly and I had to fix it
I'm not rlly technical by default, and within the same minute of me texting my friend, he sent me a Google Meet. We walked through it live and fixed it in 20 minutes.
Twitter/X can be such a resource if you utilize it properly.
🚀
I spend a lot of money on a lot of things for the business, but one thing I refuse to spend a dollar on is Apollo credits.

old way to build a $10m startup:
– do yc
– relocate to sf
– close a $5m round
–hire 5 engineers
– build for 12 months
– launch in techcrunch/media
new way playbook:
– find a real problem ai can solve
– ship it yourself with ai tools
– post to x, insta, reddit, tiktok, do ugc
– growth = 'just email ppl who can buy' + warm outbound
– ship a bunch, double down on winners
2 creators, posting 1x/day each with view bonuses.
This is all it really takes to run a UGC campaign on @sideshift_app if you have the right creator and product.
we'll add in more creators now, but if you make good ass content, it doesn't require alot of creators to start.
Been working with and thinking about and talking about vibe coding tools forever
but this past weekend was the first time I actually just sat down inside of cursor with Fable 5 for 9 hours straight and no distractions
I built a whole product lol
More to come
Joining Canada's best gym was the #1 best decision I could make.
for years, I was going to the chain gyms and was always annoyed by the long wait times, etc.
A week into joining this gym, I met huge fitness creators (like Jeff Nippard), and at the end of a hard work day, now I can go to the dopest gym and just recharge my brain.
dont know how i’d cope without gym and running tbh 😅
It's incredibly clear to me now that whenever I'm fizzling out and losing that spark of energy I usually have, I just need to change my environment.
Being around other people building shit, seeing everyone in motion, and not just drowning alone in your problems (which is very easy to do for entrepreneurs) fixes so much of it.
Thankful for the ones around me 🚀 hoping these posts show me to new peeps as well
i just saved at least $30,000 in annual overhead at my agency by using @viktor_com on Slack.
up until now, we still seemingly ALWAYS needed a human to little things like:
- draft and send contracts on docusign
- update Notion docs accurately
- ping creators on Slack if they're not keeping up, etc
No longer an issue. Viktor does all of that. Every time. The second I need it.
At 2am when I get an idea, I ping him on Slack, tell him to do the leg work, pass out, and in the morning i have data on it
Really dope product @frydwia , happy to do user interviews whenever!
