Israel’s war on Iran is misusing the humanitarian principle of ‘evacuation orders’ as a tactic of psychological & political terror against the Iranian population - just as it has recently against Palestinian & Lebanese civilians.
Three ‘evacuation orders’ have so far been issued in Tehran, home to 10m people.

Israel has designated the majority of the Gaza Strip for evacuation. 34 evacuation orders have been issued to civilians in Gaza since the dissolution of the ceasefire on 18 March 2025. Many of these orders define differing boundaries for the militarised buffer zone in the east of Gaza, gradually expanding the area designated for evacuation. See more: frames.forensic-architecture…

FA has documented a pattern of Israeli attacks on areas into which they have previously instructed civilians in Gaza to evacuate. Our research confirms that the Israeli military carried out multiple attacks in areas towards which civilians had been directed, either on the same day as the evacuation order, or on the day after. The #Madleen is a UK-flagged civilian vessel protected under international maritime law. Its interception in international waters by Israeli forces, and the detention of its civilian crew, including elected political representatives, was a clear violation of international law.
At the same time, the mission of the Madleen was and remains an urgent and necessary indictment of the response of international powers to the continued genocidal violence perpetrated by Israel against the Palestinian civilian population of Gaza. We stand in solidarity with the crew of the Madleen, and the Palestinian people.

Members of the Abd al-Karim al-Afghani family were heard screaming from beneath the rubble of their home after a series of Israeli strikes on 13 May hit several buildings in the area. Despite ongoing efforts by civil defence teams to coordinate with the military on rescue efforts, first responders were attacked—and several injured—when they arrived on the scene and were prevented from returning. FA and members of the Investigative Commons have been monitoring the status of the @GazaFFlotilla as it embarked on a journey to deliver aid to Gaza under the ongoing genocide and total blockade. This morning just after midnight (CET), while just outside Maltese territorial waters, the flotilla was targeted in a series of drone attacks, causing critical damage to the boat and putting the crew's lives at risk. Our cartographic tracker documents the flotilla's trajectory, with flight and AIS tracking of other key vessels and planes, alongside a dynamic timeline of events being updated as new visual material and crew member testimonies are received: freedomflotilla.org/ffc-trac…

Architecture and urban planning have historically been used for population control and counterinsurgency. For decades, Israel has routinely destroyed the dense and meandering fabric of Palestinian refugee camps and neighbourhoods, which provided the local population with an advantage that offset the occupier’s technological capabilities. By contrast, housing blocks such as those proposed in the Egyptian plan can be easily invaded and monitored.

3. Raid Routes: Over the last 17 months, we identified 13 raid routes created by the Israeli military, extending from Israeli bases east of the Gaza perimeter fence into the Gaza strip. The Egyptian master plan includes provisions for expanding these routes all the way to the sea, allowing the Israeli military the means to invade and bisect the Gaza Strip.
