We have huge respect for the engineering at Vercel and are excited they are building with Pi-Durable
Introducing 𝚍𝚞𝚛𝚊𝚋𝚕𝚎-𝚑𝚊𝚛𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚜. Run Pi, OpenCode, Codex, Claude Code, eve, fx, or your own harness durably on Vercel. With 𝚍𝚞𝚛𝚊𝚋𝚕𝚎-𝚑𝚊𝚛𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚜, agents automatically resume work after failures and run for hours, days, or months. vercel.com/blog/making-every…

I've been building ecommerce agents for a while and tried many AI frameworks along the way. I must say: @eve is the first one that really clicked. I told @shardara this recently and he asked me why, so I thought it was worth sharing publicly. In my first AI consulting gigs (mostly custom shopping assistants) I was stunned by how much infra work it takes to ship an agent. I'd say 60–70% of my time went into infra, and only the rest into the actual AI work: context engineering, data, evals. That was insane tbh, because none of that infra felt custom to me. Most frameworks either didn’t help much with infra, or if they did, they forced clunky abstractions on the AI side, and I kept fighting the framework instead of doing my work. That's probably why so many folks say "don't use a framework, just build from scratch." I felt that too (we all have our Claudes and Codexes, right?), but going framework-less never felt right either. There’s so much repeatable stuff, and way too many footguns, to rebuild it every time. So for a long time I was looking for something very simple: 1. Pls pls handle infra for me. Durable execution, sandboxes, streaming, reconnects, subagents, file uploads that land in the sandbox, auth, web search, easy deployment. 2. LEAVE ME FREEDOM on the AI part. I want to own the harness, not have the framework own it for me. @eve is just the first one that ticks all these boxes. Bonus: every production agent quickly needs a UI and often a custom API. A playground, a context view, a domain-specific data viewer (inspired by @HamelHusain, highly recommend). With Eve + Next.js it’s all in a single repo (not even a monorepo!), deployed with one click. Framework-defined Infrastructure at its finest, it really feels good. btw, I come from front-end world and I remember exactly how the world looked before and after nextjs. Now it feels like this again, just with AI. Everything we do at the eCommerce AI Lab at @commerce_ui now runs on Eve: shopping assistants and analytics agents for our clients, plus our own company agent that lives in Slack. It all just works, and a huge amount of custom code just evaporated. Highly recommend

Today’s AI is the slowest you'll ever use. In 5 years, it will look like dial-up. Last week, I joined @Vercel’s panel on fast AI with @CompleteSkeptic, founder of @typesafeai. We discussed where AI goes next. We both agreed - people keep underestimating the demand for faster AI. There is no ceiling. 10x, 100x, 1000x. In the 1950s, computing experts guessed a handful of computers could cover a whole country’s needs. For 70 years, we have delivered more compute. And builders have used all of it. Every time. Demand for AI will be no different. Every gain will be spent on bigger problems: -Websites that rebuild their UI for each visitor, the moment they arrive. -Apps you can build as fast as you can describe them. In 10 years, we will look back at today’s AI the way we look at black and white TV. The future will be fast. Thanks for having us, @rauchg, @cramforce and @vercel.

New from Vercel Labs: tsc-ts TypeScript was written in TypeScript Then rewritten in Go We ported it back to TypeScript Compiled it with scriptc And it's 2-4x faster than tsgo

it's 2026 - we should only be shipping experiences that are all around amazing you should always optimize a fast and performant backend/database, but there's always ~some latency so here's some rules for the frontend - make content static when possible - if dynamic but same for every user, cache it to make it static for periods of time - if dynamic but personalized, render a shell immediately and don't block the navigation @eriktorenberg and @droovg have done an amazing job with @cosign as a community, but notice the interactions in the video: - feed -> explore is fast and streams content in while a skeleton waits - explore -> lists blocks navigation with a loading pulse in the top right of the page 🤨 - lists -> jobs has the same problem - going to a list directly from notifs is "dynamic but not personalized", it shouldn't block navigation @JohnPhamous and I will skill-ify this

Harness durability in fx.sh. The same 𝚌𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚝𝚎𝙵𝚡𝙰𝚐𝚎𝚗𝚝() is now *durable* on your laptop or in the cloud, via files, Postgres, or Vercel Workflows. Node.js or Bun. Agents need long-running compute. But they also need to tolerate restarts, redeploys, timeouts, crashes… Concretely, if a user sends a prompt and then throws their phone into a black hole, we ensure that turn runs to completion. If the process crashes mid-tool-call, it resumes from there. To this end, 𝚕𝚒𝚋𝚏𝚡 introduces a simple durability adapter API. On Vercel, it leverages all the infra we built for durable workflows and queues, giving you reliability with 1LOC. This is a critical aspect of production-grade agents (and something all @eve agents also get out of the box). Next, we'll show you how we bring the same durability to Pi, OpenCode, and even your own custom harnesses.
fx v0.0.14 libfx is now durable out of the box. Same API on local, Vercel and DIY. - Sessions survive crashes, redeploys & timeouts - Power cloud agents with ChatGPT & Grok subscriptions - Custom providers & local model support in libfx - Run multiple libfx agents in one app - More control over each libfx session - TypeScript types for libfx's public APIs - Ported to Zig 0.17 - Multiple bug fixes & security improvements fx.sh/changelog#v0.0.14

Vercel Daemons Coined in MIT in 1963, "we fancifully began to use the word daemon to describe background processes that worked tirelessly to perform system chores", inspired by Maxwell’s thought experiment of an imaginary agent in thermodynamics.

The details of the long awaited KVM Escape are published. PwnEscape leads to VM escapes across multiple hypervisors due to a super cool Linux networking bug. CVE-2026-99999 is a 9.3 CVSS critical rated KVM escape ⛓️ pwn.ai/blog/pwnescape
Introducing PwnEscape 🦉: a full KVM guest-to-host escape via a Linux kernel networking flaw affecting industry standard hypervisors. CVE-2026-99999 went from untrusted VM code to host-kernel memory reads, controlled writes, and root command execution. More below:

This is one of the most exhilarating times in technology, and this challenge was yet another jaw-dropping moment. When the details of OpenAI’s agent escape and Hugging Face hack started to emerge, it became clear that agent containment would be one of the most important priorities for any AI infra company. There are two classes of escapes: ① "escape the network" and ② “escape the matrix” 😁, as in, break the spell of virtualization. OpenAI was the former, where an agent not supposed to have internet access… gained it by hacking another system. Genuinely astonishing and worrisome. Through this challenge, however, we discovered something even more groundbreaking. A talented white-hat researcher, armed with a swarm of AI agents, expertise and perseverance, "pierced through" the Linux virtualization boundary that nearly every cloud sandbox provider in the world banks on today. I'm very thankful we got the report, were able to quickly move to protect our customers, found no evidence of customer data compromise, and collaborated with many industry partners to protect the wider internet. Our confidence and conviction in Vercel Sandbox are even greater now, after some of the smartest, most motivated researchers in the world, and their agents, gave it their best shot.
We offered $1M to escape Vercel Sandbox. • 1,285 reports • $242,000 in bounties paid out • One Linux kernel zero day discovered • No reports of customer data compromise vercel.com/blog/findings-fro…
