The main thing people don't realize with GPUI is how much CPU & GPU usage it starts to hog once you have a complex application because it can't retain any information from the previous frame. Therefore making your system do far more, and the whole ecosystem surrounding it is splintered and immature. It's not a viable replacement for anyone without a massive corporate employee structure or extremely AI dense OSS projects whom aren't paying for tokens to begin with. Something to think about before you get all hard about it.
