‼️New version of #rayshader released (v0.25.0)! 3D contours! Add floating 3D contours to your scene, which provides nicer-looking contours for terrain with steep hills. It also allows you to make funky glowing contours using #rayrender, if that appeals to you :)

This semester, Wednesday is #rayshader day so here's a population density map of the world. This is at 30 arc-second (~ 1km) resolution; not sure if raymachine can handle 400m. Will find out as soon as the data loads...😋

Tuesday is #rayverse day, so here's something I'm experimenting with. I've done a number of population density maps of Japan but not like this. Thoughts, suggestions? Should the insets be oblique 3D? Would greatly appreciate feedback!

My random walk in the feature development space of #rayshader has now landed on... generating 3rd person camera animations! Have the camera follow a spatial path around the scene in glorious 3D. Lots of customization options (motion damping, cinematic rotating camera)...
