Asked by my colleague @ekoslof if payments to Camp Lejeune toxic water victims will be dependent on midterm results, Trump says if Republicans lose it makes it hard -- "maybe they won't get their money."
---
Fact-Check:
Who controls Congress doesn't impact payments for Camp Lejeune toxic water victims.
Congress already passed legislation in 2022 letting victims seek compensation from the federal govt.
The claims are with the federal Navy and DOJ, not Congress.

As the Senate gets closer to passing its version of the Farm Bill, pork producers are pleading with lawmakers to include a "fix" to Prop 12 — a landmark California law that required pork sold in the state be raised within a specific minimum space requirement.
The years-long battle for producers against the measure seemed to be one step closer to resolution after the House included the Save Our Bacon Act in its version of the Farm Bill. The legislation states that while California can enforce the rules of Proposition 12 within state borders, no state can enact or enforce, directly or indirectly, a standard on the production of livestock.
But the Senate version does not include such a provision, leading some producers and even Republican lawmakers to express frustration. More: specne.ws/pfBCQp

Update on Chuck Edwards vote:
-Vote is scheduled in the 5:15-6:15 pm window
-A censure doesn't have any actual consequences but shows the House's deep disapproval of a lawmaker's conduct
-It's rare: the House has only voted to censure members 28 times in its history
-The bipartisan House Ethics Committee recommended Edwards be censured-- members of that committee include Reps. Brad Knott and Deborah Ross of NC
