In the past I had kept nutrition, training, and recovery separate. I have learned more as time as gone by and realized that they are all connected. Especially recovery, not just physical but also mental #GYMRBOOK

One mindset change I’ve made this month is that it doesn’t always matter how long u exercise, just get that movement in! Been finding it difficult to get 1.5 hours in w/ my summer classes, but I’m reminding myself that 30 min to 1 hr is okay for now! Still feel gr8! (: #GYMRBOOK

I started a night time routine after joining the GYMR Launch team. I get ready for bed around 8, watch a an hour of TV if there is anything worth watching. Then from 9 to 10 I read the GYMR book or the bible. Then go tp bed. #GYMRBOOK

Yes, I call them “Flex-T hangs.” Ideally u do them with elbows bent at 90-degrees. Straight-arm hangs definitely work grip. Pick your poison! 💪💪 #GYMRbook – at San Diego, CA
What about adding hangs for time @ToddDurkin? Grip strength can play a role, correct? #GYMRBOOK #pullupsallday

Hey, the #cwpchat has gone dark for awhile. Thinking there is so much to talk about, any interest in using this platform again to share ideas on all that is happening in our world and education?

#cwpchat So I am going to reach out to each of you over the next few weeks and set a time to meet. I think common reads on expanindg the work we did and focus for the fall would make a great support to each of us.

YESSS!!!
I'm thinking of starting my AP Lang classes next year with much more inquiry into what they are interested in. Would love to know how this goes for you! Maybe this is our project @writin4change? We all try to implement something from @biblioracle? Thoughts? #cwpchat

A8 #cwpchat @kozak_judy @HenryAronson Would you be willing to meet this summer to create the agenda for next year's #cwpchat ?

A6 #cwpchat I was hoping we could come up with a focus project to take on together. Take a topic like reflective writing and try something on each of us, and see where the threads lie K-college.

It is an amazing place to hang out my friend, we all need to find a way to venture into each other's classes next year, to live that experience. #cwpchat

Q4: #cwpchat What is your greatest takeaway from this book? How does this message resonate with you as an educator?
Q3: #cwpchat How do we create writing spaces and student choice while still teaching the academic frames and structures that students need to be academic writers?

Our discussion leads us into Q3: #cwpchat How do we create writing spaces and student choice while still teaching the academic frames and structures that students need to be academic writers?
Q2: #cwpchat As a follow up to Q1, students we know need structure and support, and teachers must face the realities of standardized assessment, how do you attempt to measure student writing growth?

Q1: #cwpchat Why Can’t They Write by John Warner. His has a strong message on standardization of writing. “Standardized tests tell us little about the process of learning and often indicate even less about what may or may not be happening in the classroom.” Thoughts?
Janet 9:05 Warm-up (WU): The end of the year is fast approaching, what is one non- negotiable that you complete with your students before you close out the year?
